The less he plays going forward the better. Shaping up to be another garbage, lifeless, lousy loss in which another solid game by Bumgarner is going to go to waste because of the lineup getting dominated by a mediocre-at-best pitcher.

They gained a 1/2 game on L.A. on 7/7. Since the break, L.A. is only 6-5 but has gained 4 games because of the Giants' awful streak. The lead will be gone soon at this rate of not gaining any ground and losing to teams like SD and CIN. Good news is that they are still 42-24 in the last 66.

Also, they have lost 5.5 games of their lead since 6/27.
