Just watched a clip of the two-run homer Rodon gave up. Ruf stumbled and bumbled his way to the fence, and had plenty of opportunity to catch it. Even a minimal jump would have snagged it. A competent outfielder, who was faster, could have gotten there in time, and jumped a little to catch the ball. So I guess this might have been a defensive lapse, but hard to blame Ruf, he is not an outfielder.
