You can't help but wonder how many HRs he would have had he played in virtually any other ballpark than The Stick

They discussed that in the book. The guesstimates ranged from 80 to 140 more HR. Evidently Mays was loathe to criticize anyone or anything was reported to have sided with the lower number of 60.

If 140, that would have given him 800 homers!

And remember, his 1952 season was limited to 34 games and his 1953 season was no games due to military service.
