All that I gathered is that popular =/= good.

Saw several Garth Brooks, Backstreet Boys and Kenny Rogers albums in there.

50. No Jacket Required - Phil Collins

Loved it as a kid. Still do.

41. Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi

Loved it as a kid. Now...eh. Still fun.

38. Pearl Jam - Ten

Top 2 Pearl Jam album. Probably in my top 30 albums of all time

34. Greatest Hits - Simon and Garfunkel

Beautiful album.

I don't own Adele but she is pretty legit even if thats not my thing. No issue with that being #29

26. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

In the running for my favorite album of all time. Top 10 for sure.

24. Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA

Summer music for BBQ and whatnot. Probably doesn't see as much play as it should since I've been listening to a lot of War on Drugs and Tom Petty lately instead.

22. Metallica - Metallica

I've already gotten crap for saying its their best album so I've said too much. This is the first CD I ever bought.

Hootie this high is funny but he was EVERYWHERE when that came out. Weird catch-all songs. Don't own it but I've definitely heard it the whole way through.

Don't own Jagged Little Pill but its good.

14. Elton John Greatest Hits

I owned this on cassette tape. Nothing more to say other than its Elton John's Greatest Hits so of course its good.

Appetite for Destruction is a classic. Never owned it but I think I borrowed it once.

10. The Beatles - White Album

Would be in my top 20 albums of all time probably. Enough content to be a Greatest Hits album for many bands

8. Fleetwood Mac - Rumors

Would be in my top 20 albums of all time probably.

6. AC/DC - Back in Black

Its solid but I think I actually like older AC/DC better. Rock and Roll Ain't Nose Pollution for sure.

5. Pink Floyd - The Wall

Top 3 Pink Floyd album. A couple of the greatest songs of all time on it. #5 is a good spot for this.

I own No Zep.

Billy Joel at #3 is awesome. I had no idea.

Don't own Thriller but I've heard it all the way through a couple of times.

So I own 12/50. Not bad.

We have entered an age where this kind of list is irrelevant, or is at least soon to be.

It is interesting the mix of what’s included though. How insanely popular the late 90s Backstreet Boys and britney Spears garbage had to be at the time to be on the front end of a list including legendary albums that hold up with time.

I'm surprised the white album has sold that many copies. I never owned those greatest hit ones, but do have Revolver, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road and Magical Mystery Tour.

Have/had all the Zeppelin. Kill 'Em All was Metallica's best effort.

And lol @beardown07 not admitting he's got those Backstreet Boys albums.

19/50, and I don't see adding any of the others unless it's a hits comp, as I usually avoid those (I prefer to hear songs in the context of the album they were released on). I do have the Marley comp though.
