Richard Petty once characterized Kahne as a primadonna of the highest order and summarily fired his ass. Elliot Sadler just never caught on with anybody at the Cup level. Two so-so racers hanging it up to make room for this youngsters that are all about corporate and little else. Should make for a series of snowflakes the way things are shaping up so far.

Both Sadler and Sauter are the same I think. Neither one could stay competitive at the top level but dropped down to the minors and saved their careers.

With Sadler he became the victim of the downfall of both the Yates and Evernham organizations. None of the top teams would give him a chance after that. A lot of people probably forget that Sadler made the inaugural Chase and halfway through he was 4th in points before a late race wreck at Martinsville took him out of contention.

Ever since Sadler dropped down to the Xfinity series, he's been a bitch, always expecting people to move over for him and not to race him hard. He is one driver I certainly won't miss.

Right there with the primadonna attitude of Kahne. MAybe they are retriring together because they are cut from the same mold.

Kyle Busch's car is blowing its radiator out the right front opening valve on the fender.

Kyle Busch gets into a scuffle, loses the left rear tire, and wrecks into the wall. His engine si blowing out steam every where.

Good win for Kurt. Watched a little bit of the race last nigh, as Bristol is my favorite track, could not believe how many open seats. Use to be you were put on a waiting list to get a ticket

So true Pitman. A testament to how far the sport has disintegrated into a shithole with the direction of that no-good, crackhead, alcoholic Brian France. Jim France is already doing some good things but the lasting effects of Brian France were very clear last night.

First time I've checked this thread in a few weeks, see that I haven't missed much other than Brian France getting arrested and one of my favorite drivers retiring.

So, my interest level shot up, and then shot back down again.

See you guys in another month

Kyle Larsen leads Erik Jones in Darlington with all of those retro paint jobs.

Looks like a larger than recent normal crowd tonight. Maybe it is a combo of factors: 1) Tomorrow is a holiday; 2) Alchie coke-nose dimwit Brian France is gone; 3) It is South Carolina with retro paint schemes and NASCAR has a proud heritage at this race track; 4) People have money to spend in this robust and powerful Trump economy!!
