OKC may buy him out.

Wade did the same thing last year with Chicago when it was obvious he wasn't a good fit
Yeah, that option totally slipped my mind.

He'd head to LA with Lebron or Houston of Paul stays.

I would Lmao if he said, fug it....

Cp3 gonna be the only banana boater sans jewelry and went to the Warriors....lol

I don't think it's quite that easy. I'm not 100% sure how buyouts work, but if I understand it correctly, a team usually tries to buy a guy out for less than his contract.

I don't see Melo taking 1 penny less than his full $27 million.

IIRC, that is part of the problem the Lakers have with the Deng contract.

Markelle Fultz is doing a 3 month training regime with Drew Hanlen. Looks like he will not participate in the summer league as Hanlen apparently thinks that there should be no game time action for a player during the process, which makes sense.

Early reports are encouraging but I guess we'll see.

Yeah the whole point of the buyout is to entice the player to take less money so they can sign with someone else.

Deng realizes he's not getting another contract so there is no incentive for him to take a penny less.

Carmelo probably could get another contract but it is hard to say how much he could get.

Ehh he can't be that stubborn. If they say they will buy him out for 24 or 25 mill then he should take it. Go sign elsewhere on a 1 yr deal for 4 or 5 mil and bam, he makes close to 30 million next year

A. Like Deng, who's going to want him.

B. I'm pretty sure he's shown throughout his career, that he can be pretty darn stubborn.

C. He thinks he's still a starter quality player. I'm not sure who will take him.

Agree. The problem is, I think Melo thinks he's better than he really is. So, what he's likely to want, is probably more than anyone else will want to pay.

I know of a team that needs a starting small forward...

Won't hurt them to take a flyer on him

Seems like the right thing to do... kudos to the 76ers for being on board with it, letting him miss Summer League.

At this stage, that lineup is a strong contender in the East. That would make me cringe if I was a fan of that team.

The only one I don't care much about is Kuzma because that trade actually made sense

Agree. But I'd say that it only made sense because of the other stupid trades they made before that.

Yeah true. Goes back to what I said earlier this week about Marks doing the best that he can with the shit situation he was left with by the previous GM
