Saquon and Nick in the same draft. WOW!!! Nick is one of our kids. I hope he does well. I remember the day we heard he got the offer to go to Hawaii. His mother said no and his father said YES!!!

Nice breakdown of the many diirections this draft could take us.

For obvious reasons, I'm a big fan of Path #3.

My wish list would be either Tremaine Edmunds or Roquan Smith at #13, with Vea being #3 assuming those guys are gone.

The guy from Stanford would be a good pick, as would the big dozer from VT Teller, Stroman, the TE and WR. Only head scratcher is taking 2 RBs, not sure about the quality there either..:noidea:

We should be able to get a good defensive player with our first pick...

Summary – One key to remember: At least four quarterbacks are off the board before 13 plus running back Saquon Barkley, guard Quenton Nelson and pass rusher Bradley Chubb. That means Washington is guaranteed to get Delvin James or fellow defensive back; Minkah Fitzpatrick, linebackers Roquan Smith or Tremaine Edmunds; defensive tackles Da’Ron Payne or Vita Vea. All would potentially boost the defense right away.

Path 3 seemed to garner the most support from responders

Walter currently has us taking him and if he's there I'm taking him. I'm taking him over Vea, Payne, and Smith. I start him opposite Norman and don't look back.

Jalen Ramsey was a hybrid S/CB coming out of Florida St. and now he's one of the top three corners in the game. I've been on the Payne bandwagon longer than most on here and Vea is starting to grow.on me as well, but getting a talent like this at 13 is too good to pass up.

Most here have us going 3-13 or 6-10 so if that's the case we shouldn't be drafting for need only. Corner and to a degree safety are needs anyway. Fitzpatrick is a difference maker from day 1

I revisit the Hankins situation. I give Logan a call, or I draft a nose at 44 and see if I can get a year out of Murray and hope Penny is there at the top of the 4th.

I can’t stand the Scarborough pick.
Kiser is overdrafted.

Maybe hate was too strong.

You watch much of Kiser? I hate UVA but he was the best defensive player they have had in years. I would very much take him in the 5th.

If we go this route and RB is in the cards later, I wouldn't mind Freeman. I get to watch him a lot out here in the NW and he will be a bell cow for someone who drafts him. More in the build of Perine but more polished as a runner. I wouldn't mind him in rounds 4-5.

here is my latest mock

1) vita vea 6-5 332 lbs should solve our NT issue and a few others
2) sony michel rb 5-11 212 lbs . like his suddenness and he is used to a platoon system of running
4) nathan shepard dt , 6-3 310 small school guy who showed well at combine and sr bowl . should fit in well with our rotation and push to start by yr 3
5) frank ragnow c/og 6-4 307 lbs hasnt allowed a sack in 2 seasons playing in the sec . with him and roullier able to play 2 spots gives us choices
5) james washington wr 5-10 210 , PG clone here , give him some time and he can contribute
6) bradley bozeman c 6-4 317 lbs another interior o/lineman to develop has good size and tools
7) ethan wolfe TE 6-6 258 love his size , should develop into a 3 te who can block and catch , stash on PS
7) greg stroman , cb 5-11 182 lbs , does a lot of things well , this years hosley

i took 2 d/lineman because we havent signed one in FA , i took 2 o/lineman because our interior o/line is a work in progress and they can be developed

sony michel is my fvorite back in the draft

washington is a decent grab at wr , a weak class

i like the tools of my 7th rounders

Minus Barkley of course, Michel is my fav too, with Guice 2nd. Getting Michel at 44 would be so sweet!

Interesting, but not a fan of any mock that doesn't have us honestly addressing RB. Also no fan of drafting a QB beyond round #3. We need to replace Colt for sure, but if it only criteria is youth, then I'd rather have Skippy (peanut's lil brother) holding the clipboard instead of wasting a pick late on a QB.

Watch "Scariest Defensive Lineman in the PAC-12 || Washington DT Vita Vea Career Highlights ᴴᴰ" on YouTube

Been a while since we had a D lineman that other teams had to gameplan for. Starting to lean Vea over Payne as the draft gets closer. Not sure if I'm there yet, but Vea just seems more disruptive than Payne.

Saw him a lot out here in the NW and while many think Vea is our answer at NT, he can line up in 3 or 5 tech and be just as disruptive. His initial "punch" and power are his greatest assets he uses to move OL and get off blocks to make plays. "If" Hankins is still in play which I would like, I would also draft Vea and pair them with Allen. Sick!
