2018 Football Season thread

Oh look, it's another glorious season for the Yellow Jackets.

We have defeated the scrub team of Alcorn State 41-0. Yay. A win.

Next week is the game at USF. I'm happy I get to go to that game. And it will be a better measure of how good a team we are this year.

Look decent against USF. I think USF was definitely the more talented (and coached team), regardless, Tech hung in there.

Pitt up next. Another game that should be a good game.

3 games later and we are a definite shit show. A dumpster fire. We're not going to a bowl again this year.

So, we've managed to claw our way back to 3-3. Up against Duke this week. If we win that one, going to a bowl game becomes likely. Duke is a tougher team than Louisville though.

And now we're at 4-4. This season could still wind up being anything from 4-8 to 8-4 from here out. I never know which GT team will show up week to week.

5-4 now after our win against UNC. Up next we have Miami at home. Tough but winnable.

Somehow, some way, we have clawed our way back into a 6-4 season. Last two games are against UVA (winable) and UGA (doubtful).

Well, we "Forrest Gumped" our way into a win over UVA. 7-4 now.

Beating UGA seems unlikely but not completely impossible.

So....beating UGA was completely impossible. And now Paul Johnson has announced his retirement.

I'm liking the new head coach. We got a last minute 4 star recruit bringing out class ranking up to #43.

For the first time in a very long time I don't know what to expect out of next season.
