At this rate, Jacoby Ellsbury is going to wind up with more injuries than hits this season.

Already having been sidelined with an oblique injury that required a stint on the disabled list this spring and a hip issue that resulted in a cortisone shot last week, Ellsbury is now dealing with plantar vagciitis.

injuries happen, you play everyday you have less injury imo. your body is a machine. it gets used to being used a certain way! when he stopped being an everyday player, body shuts down to a certain point. then when your put out there your body can't adjust to the adrenaline.

my first AB after getting picked up another team... i was so pumped, i trinkled one to 3rd, in trying to beat it out, i went face first into bag. adrenaline was pumpin so hard i did not know i lacerated my kidney.
