Yeah, yeah I know.... This could be posted in another thread but this accomplishment, considering the complete turnaround warrants it's on thread on that merit alone!

I figure we can talk about the past Division Titles won, the near misses, the complete struggles all here.

We can also talk about potential match-ups, who we may start/rest next week and sech.

But for now fellas, what a great Christmas gift for us all!

Merry Christmas, and Happy Hanuka to all yous!

Kind of cool, we get it on Goff's first 4th Quarter come from behind win!

300 plus yards, 4 TD, fumble and a 4th Quarter comeback heading into the postseason.

Twas the night before Christmas, and throughout the Coliseum,
It was a nightmare, surely a terrible bad dream.

No points could be found, no touchdowns, or wins,
Oh if only Jeff Fisher had taken the job with the 'Fins.

Demoff did what he should and let Fisher go,
We had fallen on hard times, this was no “Greatest Show.”

As the interviews happened, you heard people say,
There is something about this young coach, Sean McVay.

He came on board and brought along Wade for the 'D',
Added Kroemer, Olson, and Lafleur as OC.

Fans had hope, but that was nothing new,
This new group had to prove this good feeling was true.

They signed Whitworth and Sulllivan, and added Sammy and Woods,
Several more in the draft; this offense had the goods.

Then it came time for a new season to play,
LA hosting Indy showed that it was a new day.

46 points was an offensive show,
The defense pitched in too, they were ready to go.

The ensuing weeks would see more wins,
Each week getting better, looking to playoffs at season’s end.

Five wins through October, Eight by December first.
Only non-losing season since 2003 leads to quite a thirst.

The top offense in the league, Gurley and a new Goff,
Multiple weapons and schemes, this offense took off.

They outplayed the Saints and blew out Seattle;
They were here to show they were ready for the NFC playoff battle.

Then on Christmas Eve, they went to the Titans,
Showed that this team was not yet done fightin’.

They played hard and won, getting win number eleven;
Rams fans used to losing had to ask, could this be heaven?

Teams knocked out of the playoffs would have the spirit of the Grinch,
But it seemed a good day for the Los Angeles Rams to clinch.

NFC West champs, first time since ‘03,
This was the Rams team fans wanted to see.

It is a new day for the Rams and McVay,
There is not much more for this young coach to say.

So he says to the team as they turn in for the night—
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

The Dallas Cowboys nearly got the best possible path cleared for the playoffs during the 1 p.m. slate of NFL games. They needed the Panthers, Lions and Falcons to lose in order to open up a hole the size you might see Ezekiel Elliott run through. Two out of three ain't bad, though. But it didn't matter thanks to the Cowboys coughing up an L to the Seahawks at home in Week 16, and now it's the Seahawks with a surprising look at the playoffs.

The Seahawks are not going to get in without some kind of help, though. They need a couple of things to break their way if they want to make the playoffs after beating the Cowboys, who are now eliminated from the postseason.

Also eliminated: the Lions, as Detroit gagged away an embarrassing game on the road against a Bengls team that had laid down the last 10 quarters.

The Falcons did not show up to play in New Orleans, making some embarrassing mistakes and not getting an assist from the refs. The result was a loss to the Saints that makes Week 17 very important for Atlanta. If they win they are in the playoffs. Lose and their fate comes down to Cardinals-Seahawks.

Seattle winning and Atlanta losing would put the Seahawks at 10-6 and let them leapfrog the 9-7 Falcons.

The Panthers barely beat the Buccaneers at home, winning in the final minute with a Cam Newton rushing touchdown. That win secures the Panthers a playoff berth and keeps hope alive for an NFC South title (Carolina needs the Saints to lose in Week 17).

So after spending the day rooting against the Panthers the Seahawks now need Carolina to do them a very big favor and dispatch of the Falcons for a shot at the postseason.

Clinching wise, we saw multiple divisions secured in the early games. The Rams beat the Titans to lock up the NFC West. With that win, they simultaneously secured the AFC South for the Jaguars. The Chiefs clinched the AFC West title with a win over the Dolphins. And the Saints secured a playoff berth with their win over the Falcons; a Week 17 over the Bucs will give the Saints the NFC South title.

The Raiders, Dolphins, Lions and Cowboys were all eliminated on Sunday.

Here's how the rest of the NFL playoff picture looks, as well as a snapshot of some games that could impact what it looks like after Week 17 and beyond

Just eventually need to replace NFC West Chapions with Super Bowl Champions and I'll grab my gear immediately.:suds:

Brady has to play this week to try and lock up the #1 seed, so if Gurley does, sit, that will put a nail in his MVP chances.

But resting the guys makes sense since going against the Niners is always a battle and not worth the risk for key players

Rams may rest starters for finale vs. 49ers

Just as I suspected. Finally we get to see Sean Mannion in full action and not just handing the ball off to Brown protecting the lead.

Should he do well, I'm sure we see this guy (@mrwallace2ku) around here...

That's been one of the fundamentals all season. Keeping people fresh

Basically a bye week if you rest players. We're playing a home game either way, but I'd prefer Seattle if you ask me

Agreed, I'd much rather play Seattle or Atlanta than Carolina or New Orleans. But also, I don't think it's worth an injury to key players to play in a rivalry game.
