CR7 just extended his summer vacation for another month lol. If he doesn't win the appeal of his suspension then he's not playing until September 17th

Liverpool vs Hoffenheim in the UCL playoff round, 1st leg. 0-0 so far. Mignolet with a penalty save. He is 7/20 on penalties since joining Liverpool. That's pretty amazing

1-0 Liverpool on a beautiful goal by Alexander-Arnold! Mane drew the foul that set it up.

Not the best start for Real in La Liga. 3 games in and only 1 win.

I don't think they catch Barca unless they beat them in the head to heads.

Yea terrible start to the year for them. And unlike the EPL, La Liga doesn't offer you many chances to gain ground on teams like Barca.

The crazy thing about Real Madrid this season is all their struggles are coming at home. They have not won a home game this year in La Liga. They dropped 7 of a possible 9 points at home while not dropping a single point away from home.

It is crazy and all this after the Super Cup demolition of Barca too. Maybe Ronaldo suspension put them in a malaise. I still think they qualify for UCL though and that is really all that matters. Wasn't yesterday's loss to Betis the first time they were shut out in 70+ La Liga games? I heard Pele's Santos holds the record but I may be mistaken.

Anyone have an opinion on Napoli unseating Juve in the Italian League this? They are off to a fast start and that is 10 straight including end of last year (not including their UCL gaff). Their front 3 are pretty amazing and they have booked 19 goals already. I will like to see someone knock off Juve and this could be the year.

We'll see how serious they are about La Liga. They don't have a challenging game on paper until they play Atletico in mid November.

yeah, if Enrique was still in charge at Barca, I'd say RM may have a good shot at catching them as I've never rated in as a manager, but Valverde is a quality manager that will keep them sharp and make any necessary adjustments if needed.

The Serie A might be interesting this year. Inter look a LOT better, and Napoli might give Juve a run.

It'' definitely be a tighter race this year. Napoli for sure will challenge, Inter has look LOTS better, and both they and Milan have new owners that aren't afraid to spend and want to get them back to where they were.
