Stop Brown, you stop Pitt. I'm not confident we can stop Brown, though.

I know one thing, if the gameplan is to not throw to AJ Green, as it has been the past 7 quarters, that's not good.

The game is in primetime.

I think the NFL takes joy in our nighttime failures.

I doubt this game is fixed in any way. So, we should lose on our own accord.

Dalton still had the cast on yesterday. The game is Saturday. Not sure how he thinks he's gonna be able to play. He won't be able to grip the ball. I think he's being very naive and/or getting bad information.

There's one way to beat this Steelers team and it's not thru running the ball. You gotta throw it. A lot.

Bengals can't win at night.

Bengals can't win in the playoffs.

Bengals can't beat Pittsburgh.

Maybe the combination of can'ts will create a weird paradox.

For once in his life Marvin should just go balls out and be aggressive on every play.
He has nothing to lose, no one expects him to win, and when he doesn't he can say he didnt have his quarterback, and its not like his job is in jeopardy.

If this game is not left up to AJ Green then there is a problem. He should have 15 catches.

Insert laughing Marv here

I'd love to see them go for two every time they score. You know, assuming they actually score.

I'd run the ball, limit Pittsburgh's possessions, and hope for a turnover by the defense or a big play on special teams. I can't see them outscoring that offense in a shootout

The Houston game: Eifert at least 3 drops, and Marvin Jones had 2, and AJ Green fumbled on what would have been a winning drive. Dalton was good enough that night, and had zero help. Plus, no running game. For all his talk about "getting turnt" in the running game, Hue Jackson doesn't run the ball like he says he will. He's turned into Jay Gruden.

House money this weekend. No one expects the Bengals to win. I'd double Brown all game long. Period.

Roethlisberger is 11-2 in Cincinnati, including 1-0 in the playoffs in Cincinnati.

I would say our chances of winning this game with McCarron is like 15%.

Our chances with Dalton starting coming off the injury, 5%.

Playoffs, 8:15 start, divisional foe Pittsburgh, Roethlisberger's record in Cincinnati...not looking good against that explosive offense. Roethlisberger kinda reminds me of Farve. He improvises his way into some of the most miraculous/lucky plays that always seems to pay off at the right time. When Dalton does it, he fails.

Oh well, there is always next year. *sigh*

Even with a "healthy" Dalton, I start the game with McCarron. Why risk the game from the get-go on a potentially bum thumb? I liken it to Denver's game last night swapping QBs. Feel out the first half with McCarron. If it isnt going right, make the switch and hope for a boost.

And heck, Dalton has been miserable in the playoffs. And Hobspin is already preparing his article with the excuses, so why not just give the new kid a chance.

I agree.... There is just no reason to expect a guy that hasn't played in a month to come in and perform at a high level. Combine that with Dalton's prior failures, and I think he'd be in a bad situation. I think you need to give AJ all the reps this week and go with him. If he happens to win, you can re-evaulate what you're going to do against New England.

right. if dalton can magically throw with accuracy this weekend then he wasn't really hurt in the first place.

Dalton is the starter week 1 come fall. I'm a huge fan of McCarron's potential, but it will take some time and he will probably get traded.
