Well just because I don't think Portland is a good team doesn't mean I'm disrespecting them. It means I just don't think they are a very good team. So what. You are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine.
So if they had their 3rd player do they win this series? Short answer, no so why bother mentioning it?
Steph has a dislocated finger....but he still played just like Dame did. Neither is worth mentioning.
Let's remember, there were a lot of people here (and some were Dubs fans) that wrote them off once KD went down. There were even analysts that said they had no chance to even win one game without him in the Hou series.
You are probably right with this point. This team has continued to deliver...
I think all indicators point to him returning. Kerr really likes him, Looney wants to return and ownership is already on record saying they will pay whatever it costs to keep competing.
I can agree with a lot of these points.
But what is hard to ignore is that GS wasn't even at full strength and Portland couldn't get 1 game. That should be concerning for Portland. I don't want to hear nothing about how close they were. Because as close as they were they also completely gave it...
In my case it's not over reacting as I predicted they could sweep when no one else thought it was possible. In fact, everyone else said I was crazy to think that.
One of the constant debates on this thread is that reg season games/wins don't mean much in the post season for most teams. This...
The more we talk about it, maybe it is a coaching issue. I just can't believe zero adjustments were made on defense to try to eliminate the open looks and to try to slow Dray down some.
Also, maybe Portland is a good team when they play other teams not named GS.
As someone here already stated, post season is more about match ups since you have to face the same team at least 4 games and in some cases through 7 games. Also at this stage some luck plays a part too. Injuries is another factor.
OKC has RW who will shoot his team right out of many...
I am being a bit facetious.
I think if Steph goes down & KD isn't back they could be vulnerable. But even despite the win/loss record when Steph is out but KD plays I think KD could win a couple without Steph.
