They're closer than most people realize/want to admit.
Of the FBS teams w/o a National Championship, Oregon's probably the closest to winning their first.
Wouldn't surprise me to see them win at least one in the next decade or so.
The knee-jerk reaction that most people have to low-scoring of any kind -- a low-scoring game in general or it's their team not scoring as much as they "should".
"Inept offense, obviously!" or "Awful, boring football game."
Zero credit given to the defense(s), the coaching, the game-planning etc.
My personal favorites, for UCF:
2010: 1st bowl win in school history over Georgia.
2013: Coming back from a 3 TD deficit, on the road, to beat Louisville.
2013: Crazy, back & forth game @ Temple.
2014: Road win vs Houston.
2017: Instant classic vs USF.
2018: Comeback win @ Memphis.
2018: CCG...
There are several you could pick for UCF.
2010: 31-21, at home, to Southern Miss.
2011: 38-17, at SMU.
2015: 15-14, at home, to FIU.
2015: 16-15, at home, to FCS Furman.
2016: 31-24, at Houston.
