He's going to have a Bryce Young season wherever he goes. Justin Fields 2.0... I guess he can throw better than Fields (so can probably half the forum)... after he's done hanging onto the ball for 3 seconds like Fields.
Good move by Jason. He's banging Taylor on the side and lost his ring while fingering Taylor up her hoover... so, he staged this and then said he 'lost his ring' in the Skyline chili to cover up the cheating from Swift, when he really lost it 'deep sea fishing', if ya catch my drift... Now if...
Seems the Steelers are likely. I dunno why... then they can get a really good receiver that Justin Fields can't throw to anyway? Whatever.
Other reports say maybe if the Chargers trade down and take both Minnesota's 1st picks. Take a tackle at 11 and then Aiyuk with the later 1st. Carolina...
That one always slays me. I was to young to watch let alone understand the draft let alone NFL at that time, but the re-cap always leaves me laughing. It's not even the fans reaction but the "Ohhhhhh." by the analyst/commentator.
Guy was a fumble machine from what I remember and didn't do much...
Walt football posted a 'dream draft' for teams and I have to say I'd be pretty thrilled (least first 3 picks) with this:
Barton (don't get me started on Cody) a lot of people say projects better as an interior lineman and PFF thinks he best projects at a Center... but either way he could play...
Harris: "So Dan, you thought about it? Are you ready to work with JJ McCarthy?"
Quinn: "I quit."
Harris: ".... you are flushing a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY DOWN THE DRAIN! If you do come back, this head coaching job wont be here for you."
Quinn: "I hope... you're right."
Harris: "I am right...
Well either way I hope it happens because that'll make the draft pretty damn amusing and I can give out my first F grade early.
Maybe they'll up the pass attempts from 620 or so to 700 for McCarthy! :pound:
I could see something like that. Harbaugh apparently really likes Alt as well... but getting two firsts from the Vikings would be a pretty solid reason to trade back. The OT class is fairly deep. I get Alt is the standout prospect, but there's a lot of talent at the OL in this draft...
I don't mean the Raiders are saying that.. a lot of analysts and talking heads in general are saying "Get Penix in the 2nd round" to any team interested in him. I think they are underrating/valuing Penix... and I think there are teams who need a QB that are more than willing to spend a 1st on...
How are Penix/Nix overhyped? Most analysts are pegging them in the 2nd round or late 1st. Penix has gotten a little hype since the combine.
The biggest overhyped player is McCarthy. He was in most cases a mid 2nd and in some cases a 3rd round pick until he won the Championship and then Harbaugh...
Now rumors are Raiders and Penix are linked. I think Penix is going in the teens. He shattered the combine... before the Championship game he was borderline top 10 anyway... everyone keeps saying, "Get him in the 2nd round" I think he'll be long gone. I don't think he'll make it past Pittsburgh...
True, and you hit the exact point I was making. It's really a mish mash of receivers after the top 3 lol. I could see a case for any of them being #4.
Also agreed that WRs are getting used a lot differently now. More interesting routes, screen plays, end arounds, etc. There's a lot of pass...
Per WalterFootball:
Seahawks GM John Schneider told the media that the Seahawks have a “lot to figure out” regarding the offensive line. – Guard and center are huge needs for the Seahawks, so much so that they could draft a player at the position at No. 16
I'm pretty sure John has said he...
Apparently now there are reports that the Redskins owner really likes and prefers JJ McCarthy with the #2 overall :pound:
You can't make this stuff up. Next Thursday might be quite amusing.
And the Giants could. I mean they're stuck with Jones this year but next year they can get out of it... and McCarthy would DEFINITELY benefit riding the pine for a year. A lot of people thought he should go back to school to develop his game. He probably could've been the #1 overall next year...
oh lol.
I do think the signing was a favorable grade for the Eagles, especially with some of the baffling and outright terrible contracts given to quite a few WRs this offseason.
Smith is certainly above average and good, but he's nowhere near the best in the league. I know PFF isn't the bible, but....
DK Metcalf is better than Smith (was in the 80s twice in his first two seasons) lol.
Dunno why Eagles are still bumping this thread. Smith is not the best WR in the...
I know you meant Williams in your first sentence... but either way I agree with the rest of your post. I would possibly put Penix in the 1st but the injury concerns really hurt him. That said, he still has the purest arm in this draft and actually a LOT of speed (it was never utilized at UW...
Yah if they really love McCarthy (or whoever is at 3) then you make the move... if I was a Vikings fan I could stomach moving to 3 for Maye more than moving to 4 or 5 for McCarthy who IMO would be a reach at 11 let alone the first round.
If he somehow fell to 16 and Seattle drafted him I'd be...
Kinchens in the 4th could be decent. But he can really only play FS and he's horrible in any sort of run defense. He can't move around at all which MacDonald seems to like to do. James Williams is a curious one... he can certainly get some field time against tight ends just due to his size...
Mostly everyone agrees. What's baffling though is why they acquired another 1st to begin with. That said, Minny moved up 20 spots and didn't even have to return a 1st (just a 2025 2nd which is basically a 2024 3rd) so maybe Minny did it because Houston was stupid to begin with and lost the trade...
