Shaun Crawford is seeking to return for a sixth year. If anyone deserves it it’s him. Basically 3 season-ending injuries in 4 years, 2 of them before even setting foot in a game.
Hell he almost got knocked out completely this year with a dislocated elbow.
Can’t say I’m surprised with Book coming back. Clark was probably pushing him for #2 too and with Pyne and Buchner (hopefully) coming years probably thinks his shot is passing him by.
Big question is does Kristofic stay. He and Phil were HS teammates and it seems Jurkovec was a big reason...
I think only 3 were playing (Drew Pyne, Chris Tyree, and the long snapper), but Pyne had nice numbers 9-11 passing with one gorgeous 42 yard TD pass. Tyree added a one yard TD run (was also named a captain).
All in all good showings.
Passed away today at 74.
Former Bengals, Bucs coach Wyche dies at 74
Best memory of him besides his beef with Glanville was when he yelled at his fans to stop throwing trash on the field saying “this ain’t Cleveland!”
Well, first time in a looong time they’ve posted back to back to back 10+ win seasons and there the kind of consistency you need to recruit to the next level.
Overall I was impressed with the bowl win. It was a complete game against a highly motivated opponent. They had every reason to mail it...
They had 11 players enter the transfer portal this month. That seems abnormally high, especially for a program that struggles to get to 85 scholarships due to their recruiting limitations.
I’m failing to see any discernible benefit to the current ACC deal. I get that it was to protect basketball and non-revenue sports but they have to recognize that football should be the driver and it is not being well-served by this deal. First they are stuck scheduling 5 “conference” games and...
5-1. Overall they played well. The defensive game plan in the second half was too conservative and allowed Slovis to pick them apart and Stepp & co. To run wild but two things impressed me, Doeher came up huge, 3 FG 40, 43, 52 (career long by far) and the pong clock killing running drive for the...
The official two-deep roster is out.
Notable surprises:
Shaun Crawford back from his second ACL injury in two years is starting opposite Troy Pride. Good for him and I hope he stays healthy
Javon McKinley is the #2 X receiver behind Claypool (another guy left for dead)
Kyle Hamilton is the...
not good start to camp.
Biggest loss: Cole Kmet broken collarbone
He was shaping up to be the clear no. 1 TE and a real threat on offense. Expected to be out 6-8 weeks
FR Quinn Carroll (OL). Torn ACL. His year is done. He was likely to have redshirted anyway. Question is, will he ever be...
it was the condensed 1988 ND-USC game.
On ND’s first play from scrimmage after getting pinned deep after a USC punt, Tony Rice executes a perfect play action pass to Ismael to flip the field.
Keith Jackson kept claiming falsely that he stepped out of the back of the end zone. I don’t recall...
just read he’s charged with murder of his girlfriend’s child. She’s charged too.
Seems like a bad case of abuse and neglect. So sorry his name is associated with ND.
Prayers for the victim.
