His master's master (Daek Sun Moon) won gold in 2004 and told my son when he was 7 that he could go to the Olympics, and he's had that goal ever since. It's actually Grand Master Moon's tournament he's going to.
Just me. Ruth can't fly (collapsed lungs when she was a teen). He's pretty excited. This is the first step to the Olympics, though this is just a "getting your feet wet" excursion - in 2 years he'll be a serious competitor (or at least that's his master's plan).
Well, he will be competing in Korea in June, so his level of competition will be "international" while my fat butt will just sit in the stands and cheer...
I said this to my 14 year old and he got offended that I was stealing a joke from his generation. Poor kid didn't know just how many that's what she said jokes I could show him online. :D
Honestly, if DUI/DWI was a huge character issue, then Geno and others would have been passed over. Golden Tate was caught in the donut shop (granted I can't remember if that was post draft, I think it was, but I still chuckle about it).
I went to profootballnetwork and drafted all 32 teams with a stipulation that I didn't know needs for everyone on the top of my head. So, I set some rules.
If a team had a pfn top 5 need within the top 9 prospects, they picked the BPA of the need unless they had already filled that position...

QB Geno Smith, Sam Howell
RB Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet, Kenny McIntosh, Bryant Koback
FB
WR D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Dareke Young, Jake Bobo, Cody White, Easop Winston
TE Noah Fant...
No, that isn't what it is valued at. Your conflating draft pick value chart and draft pick salary costs to come up with a conclusion that makes absolutely no sense. You're using 2 different methods to create a Frankenstein's monster of a value.
Here are the facts:
Seahawks get
Sam Howell -...
That's a complete butchery of the way this works, not to mention completely ignoring that Howell wasn't acquired for a 3rd and a 5th. Seattle in essence gave up $1 million in net draft "capital" to acquire Howell. The net effect on the team's salary cap this season is about $900,000. Not a...
A 5-year vet who hasn't seemed to mature since the day he got here and coming off what was arguably his worst season since he was a rookie? 43 WRs had 60 catches last year. 28 had 1000 yards. 16 had 8 touchdowns. And 10 did all three - of which DK was one of those. I could make an argument for...
