Stats like this don’t help The perception: In the Lakers' case, they attempted more free throws during the regular season than any team but the Orlando Magic despite ranking 25th in paint touches and 27th in drives to the basket.

My point wasn’t whether it was true or false, it’s just that fans believe it so they aren’t going to sympathize when they perceive that the Lakers get to take some of their own medicine.

Obviously you don’t watch Murray often. His step back is up there with anyone, and it’s what he does. He drives Nuggets fans crazy with games like tonight where he stinks up the place - and then scores 14 points in the last 6 minutes to win the game. Mentally tough as nails.
