I'n not a HC I am a fan who likes to watch good football games. We don't get enough of them.

By the way Dana talks, he seems to be in favor of big competition. I am sure he would love the home and home with teams like FSU. He also knows it is suicide in today's NCAA where many teams schedule 3 powderpuff games each year. the B12 and every conference have weak teams every year. CFB would be so much more entertaining if all teams scheduled real OOC competition.

2 P5 teams at home in 6 years. I think that makes my point. Compare that to 1-AA games at MPS. Are you chomping at the bit to watch us play Youngstown state this year? (yes Dad they may be better than Kansas)

To illustrate my point, take a look at my fall schedule.

You’re absolutely right. Dana wants to see every program play similar schedules. He plays a schedule more challenging than most, and he doesn’t think that is fair.

I don’t either.

I want to see great football week in and week out too.

Unless every school is going to challenge themselves... or be forced to challenge themselves similarly... then I will be a proponent of doing the best for the success of my favorite team.

Follow the SEC script... it is that simple...

Could have stopped right there. WVU could play the #1 team in the country every week, win them all, and get left out.

Good stuff... made me LOL!!

IMHO there appears to be enough holes in everyone's schedule that all Power 5 conference teams need to play an All Power 5 schedule and MAYBE teams from the AAC....and that is a strong maybe...

Second , I would suggest the conferences fill out their schedules with their OWN members...

I have to think that if the "big boys" bail out of the NCAA and make a semi pro league, which I think is coming, we will see the "power 5" all playing only each other. I still laugh at the thought that schools get more credit for scheduling Kansas or Illinois than Boise..............

I like playing a good team from a power conference. A win sets you up for the selection committee at the end of the season. The Ohio St win helped get OU in the playoff. TCU and Baylor got the shaft a few years ago but if they would have had that out of conference win it could have been the difference.

TCU beat Minnesota that year OOC but then had Samford and SMU as their other OOC opponents :noidea: I've seen worse...and it was Baylors

IMO TCU had a legit argument that year but the conference screwed them more than the OOC schedule when we tried to slip 2 teams in. Baylor on the other hand got exactly what they deserved with that baby soft OOC garbage that they were playing.

In their defense it looks like the conference AND Baylor have learned from their mistakes with the CCG and Baylor scheduling Duke and Auburn in the future.
