I think it will happen too. Hayward's coming back will help. I think they're the class of the East this season.

You would think that a teammate of Hayward's wouldn't be so quick to assume no roadblocks to the finals (such as major injuries to their roster). Kyrie isn't exactly a great bet to survive the season unscathed either.

The context of the discussion was an informal, laid-back Q&A...

... he's not answering the question in deep terms and going into various hypotheticals... he's just giving a straight shooter response.

As @Mecca said, dafuq is the guy supposed to say?

We're going to take it one game at a time, not looking ahead, execute the game plan...blah blah blah.

He could have done that... sure.

But what he did was perfectly acceptable, too.

No problem either way... both paths are right.

Been off the grid for 10 days. But just to conclude this notable thread. We will be in the finals.

I am telling you--- Indiana is gonna be a darkhorse.

Id still take Boston and the Raptors and Philly over them---- but all 3 of those teams have certain vulnerabilities. The Celtics is injury of course with Hayward and Kyrie. The Raptors is Kawhi and his whole show and the fact that they have choked in the playoffs in the past, and the Sixers is their youth and failure to significantly improve this offseason.

Indiana has a clear cut #1 guy in All Star Oladipo. Turner is extremely talented and has a great skill set for todays game in that hes fast enough to switch onto guys and play a solid center position. Thad Young is a poor-man's Draymond- great stretch 4 that can also go in the post if he gets a good matchup and he plays very solid D. Collison and Joseph are both good versatile guards. Evans was a great pickup on the wing- something they desperately needed. These guys like eachother and play for eachother.

Indiana vs. Utah is my sleeper finals ;)

Its Finals of bust for the green. Jaylen is putting pressure on his team mates to deliver, which he should. Any goal less than this is a total failure of this roster. The bench is super deep and they will make a trade at the deadline to finalize their capture of the crown.

Again, anything less is a total failure by Danny and Brad. No getting around the opportunity.

I got no problem with him having confidence but I’d rather have him predict they will win it all. Saying you are the definite best in the east is about like saying you definitely have the best charm school in the state of Arkansas.
