You must think Romo played behind Martin, Smith and Frederick his whole career.

Truth is before Dallas drafted T. Smith, they used very little assets to build the OL.
.Don't get me wrong even if we aren't talking Eli and Romo. Passer rating may be good for a single season comparison and even thats iffy. But as far as career. Theres too many variables. A player who plays a longer career is more likely lower passer rating than a guy who played a shorter career. offensive systems, rule changes, personnel play....All play a factor in PR. I get some people enjoy passer rating but there are just too many variables. Passer rating may be the most over inflated stat in football imo. I prefer the big picture

This is what I'm talking about.

This is blatantly false. Longevity does not factor one bit into a QBs passer rating.

Brady has played longer than Eli and Romo, yet his passer rating is higher than both of theirs.

You are oblivious. You don't know what you're talking about. And you show it with each successive post. So please continue. It's still hilarious to watch you flail and fail so miserably.

I'm gonna call out your ignorance, no matter who you're talking to.
Im giving you facts the only thing your accomplishing. Is exposing your own ignorance.....You already agreed without even realizing it. If yu cant compare passer ratings from one era to another. That is stating there are variables that directly impact the credibility of passer rating as a legitimate gauge. Which leaves you back at square one. While Ive provided statistics and analysis that you can not refute. Hence the reason you're talking in circles to avoid the actual discussion in a factual manner.

thats logic

Pass attempts are part of the formula more pass attempts decrease the odds of completions. Especially since age is a part of longevity skills decrease over time. Personnel and offensive systems alone factors into PR. There are multiple variables Ive already pointed out. Its an over inflated stat with two many variables. Which is why you said yourself. You cant compare it to other eras......

Pass attempts are part of the formula

Thank you for continuing to show your ignorance.

Pass attempts factor into passer rating only in connection to completions. Ergo, complete more passes, have a higher completion percentage. Meaning, a QB with a higher completion percentage will have a better QB rating.

It's why Eli has a poor QB rating. He isn't very accurate. It's why Brees and Brady, who've played quite a while themselves, have high QB ratings. Because they are accurate passers.

Like I said, you're oblivious.

Then ou should have no problem answering this. Better QB Donovan McNabb or Chad Pennington?

McNabb. He was more durable. Though an argument could be made that Pennington was the better passer.
You're starting to get it.Penniington has the higher passer rating but McNabb was the better QB. Lets try another

Better QB Tim Tebow or Colin Kaepernernick?

Even tho I know that was a Tebow homer thing. You could run 100's of those examples and get the same result. Over inflated stat.Kaep has the higher passer rating and by quite a large margin . .....Guess passer rating isn't as i as big a factor as you made it........Like I already said I have no dog in this fight. Unbiased assessment based on all the stats, accomplishments, performance, leadership, the ability to make clutch plays and win big games.....All the facts say Eli it is what it is

Tebow and Kaep isn't a valid comparison. They had relatively short careers. There really isn't much comparison between them and 10+ year veterans.

But you said longevity had nothing to do with it same eras fits your flawed criteria.

Fun fact Romos best season as per passer rating
He went 3/4 for 29 yards 1 TD 0 INT and a passer rating of 134.4

Not even a full game and thats averaged into his career passer rating.....

Seems legit :laugh3:

It doesn't.

Continue to show your ignorance, bud.

Passer rating rewards consistency, not longevity.

And for the record, Romo's best season passer rating is a super human 113.1. Which is almost 10 points higher than Eli's best season.

You're still oblivious.

You may want to do the math......try a calculator :dhd:

Ya also confirmed it’s a useless overvinfakted stat. Between stating you are unable to compare other eras.. As well as your choices of QB’s which were in relation to passer rating. Now do you have a stronger stat or fact to stand by or should we just call it? Eli was the better QB

You made that far too easy to dismiss passer rating as a legitimate stat in regards to HOF or better player fwiw
