The team gave up 3 runs in 10 innings
They can't hit
The bats are the #weaklink this year and that's why they lost.
Started out the opposite, we had great hitting and crap starting pitching (injuries being a big reason)
Now it's switched. We're a ,500 team it is what it is.
You are obsessed with pitching so you can't see it correctly but those are the facts

Is it possible we start hitting and the pitching stays good and we go on a run and win it? Sure, it's possible, we aren't 10 games back. But there are many teams ahead of us, and a few are better teams. Don't hold your breath.

More acceptable than the bats sucking, loading bases and not scoring, etc.

The bats lost the game not the pitching. That's been true for the last 2 months. I don't expect you to understand this, but that doesn't change the truth of it.

Bum was awful. He isn't very often but yesterday he was. His awful performance lost the game. Had he thrown his usual 7+ innings of 2 run ball, we win.

Context much? Bum was DEALING yesterday through 4. Hell, I thought he had a chance to throw a shutout. NOBODY saw that abortion of an inning coming. Do I EXPECT him to throw 7 innings of 2 run ball every time? NO
Do I expect a quality start pretty much every time he takes the ball, YES.

Was it a problem yesterday? YES. A typical Bum outting and we're playing for a sweep today. Instead, Melancon shows up with #WEAKLINK SHITSHOW today.

That right there? That's the point of contention. If the pitching isn't the main problem, how is it the 'weak link'? That's not what weak link means. Weak link is the big problem, the weakest link in the team's chain. It ain't the pitching.
