Now that the World Cup is over it is Transfer season for the next month so I created a thread to discuss. I'll start with my team Bayern Munich:

Looks like no one wants Boetang for Bayern asking price after his dreadful World Cup. Also, they trying to unload Thiago, Vidal, Bernat. Midfield logjam and a few need to go but they need to lower asking price.

Not much interest in Lewandowski and he has decided he wants to stay. Front looks settled with Lewey, Muller, Gnabry, Coman, Ribery, Robben.

Also, heard Pavard is signing too. Not sure why. Doesn't he play in the Kimmich spot on the right? I don't see a spot for him unless Alaba is moved too.

Good signing by Liverpool with Alisson. Had to be done. Karius has to go after another blunder in a recent friendly. Send him back to the Bundesliga. There may be an EPL goalie musical chair if Courtois leaves Chelsea. Chelsea could make a move for Schmeichel at Leicester then I heard.

Arsenal very good so far.

New manager: Unai Emery, previously with PSG and Sevilla

new signings:
Bernd Leno - GK from Bayer Leverkusen
Matteo Guendouzi - DMF from Lorient
Stephan Lichtsteiner
- DF from Juventus
Sokratis Papastathopoulos DF from Borussia Dortmund
Lucas Torreira - DMF from Sampdoria

Took care of our needs at DF and MF. I look for Cech to retire soon, maybe take up a position as GK coach. He's had a great career at Chelsea and Arsenal, but is past his best.

I look forward to seeing Aubameyang, Lacazette and Mkhitaryan playing a full season together.

Also hearing rumors of them signing Kingsley Coman. Anything you're hearing on your end @MrFlyingV ?

Yes, I heard the Coman rumor to Arsenal too. I like Coman just wish he'd stay healthy. Also, James wants to go back to Real Madrid now. Not sure if it is possible with the deal though. Also, looks like Bayern making a move for Rebic. That could be a sign Coman is on to Arsenal.

I read a good article on the Bayern midfield logjam yesterday. Looks like the only sure one they will sell is Vidal (but Bayern overvaluing his worth on the market) but there are too many still. Goretza, Tolisso, Thiago, James, Javi, Rudy, Vidal, Sanches. If Boateng sold, Javi can move back to central defense possibly as they are short there with only Sule, Hummels if Boateng leaves.

BFW Analysis: Assessing Bayern Munich’s midfield dilemma

The Coman / Vidal moves are on the ESPN transfer rumors today with Coman being likely....but he is a bit pricey. Will Arsenal jump on that?

Transfer Rater: Vidal to Manchester United

Heard they are looking to offload Welbeck (rumors are Everton want him), Monreal, and a few others, so I could see it, they still need some width as Emery likes to run a 4-2-3-1.

Latest is Arsenal working on a loan deal with Barca for Ousmane Dembele.

I like that for Arsenal.

Pavard has signed with Bayern from Stuttgart....but for 2019. Mid 30 million Euros fee. They want to make the deal for 2018 but the price is 49 mil. They need to offload Boateng to do that. Pavard and Kimmich will man the right back and center right back (Boateng spot) is the plan.

Benzema to AC Milan possibly on Counter Attack. Neymar / Mbappe both staying at PSG and bidding war for Hazard may be coming as I see Chelsea is ready to offer him a big deal too. Real Madrid could be left bare this summer.

I’m a little concerned about Alisson considering He really struggled vs good competition on the road last year. Hell Chelsea scored 3 goals on him at Stamford bridge.

I agree Karius has slipped up and no one is forgetting that champions league final. Still I wasn’t totally down on Karius as he did have a good PL season last year.

Not sure AC can afford him since they just defaulted in their loan and are now being run by their creditor.

Tim Howard was on Counter Attack this week and said the English Press will never let Karius off the hook and he is ruined and it is best he leave the EPL....i.e. remembering his days dealing with that. Said a number of Bundesliga teams would love to have him in a heartbeat though.

AC Milan won the case with arbitrator and are back in Europa at least. Shitcanned the Chinese "owner" and Elliot Group runs the team for now until they can sell. According to Talk Sport this morning, Benzema's agent says AC Milan move is BS. Morata is a probably a better fit to move there I think.

Yeah I bet we miss him when Alisson starts to cave on the road. TBH half the time it wasn’t even Karius fault, our back line was horrid, especially before we overpaid for South Hampton’s finest defender.

We'll see. Just watched Liverpool vs Dortmund. Karius was in goal. Last shot by Pulisic, Karius bats the ball directly to Dortmund player point blank for the 3rd goal. All he had to do hold it..what was he batting it away for? Announcers even cracked on him. I know it is pre-season...but man

Talk Sport was really talking up Arsenal today. They love Lucas Torreira...exactly the player Arsenal needs. Think Aresenal could make Top 4 this year with their signings. Think they will score a lot of goals, that won't be the problem but need to reduce the 51 goals allowed. Need to be around 40 or below and these signings should help get that down.

The angle wasn’t the greatest to catch it. He had both knees bended and was leaning to his right. That’s not the easiest catch there. He deflected it and one of the Dortmunders was there right place right time. Our back line still sucks.

IMO, Benzema is kind of limited on where to go.

LaLiga: Doubt he'd go anywhere else besides RM/
EPL: None of the Top 5-6 really need him, unless Morata leaves Chelsea, then, maybe.
Bundesliga: can't see it
Serie A: Juventus doesn't need him, Inter has (at least for now) Icardi and just signed Lautaro, Milan can't afford him, Roma, they have Dzeko, Schick, Under, and just signed Kluivert from Ajax, Napoli is ok for forwards as well.
Ligue 1: either back to Lyon, or maybe Marseille, no PSG as long as they have Neymar and Mbappe. It would be a step down from RM but I think he'd do well at Nice now that Patrick Vieira is in charge.

Benzema is good, but at 30, not many clubs are going to splurge that much cash for him.
