There is very little difference between the top players of all time great programs. All of those teams have a top 3 of players that got drafted top 5, received multiple AA honors each etc, won Heismans...

Ron Simmons
Charlie Ward
Deion Sanders.

Ron Simmons turned the entire FSU program around as a true
frosh playing nose guard.

He made us big league and we haven't had a losing season since.

Dream all you want but FSU hasn't produced anything close to Bo or Cam when it comes to college football.

I know just much better in form of the best defensive back college or pro football has ever produced. Just a 2 time consensus AA, Butkus, Lombardi and CFB player of the year award winner. Oh and another 2x AA who happened to be one of the most electric playmakers CFB has ever seen.

Arguably one the best kickesr of all time, then another kicker who won the Lou Groza award twice and then 3 Heisman winners didn't even make my list.

But carry on.

In College:

Derrick Thomas
Javier Arenas
Lee Roy Jordan

In NFL:

John Hannah
Joe Namath
Derrick Thomas

An honest case can be made that Derrick Thomas could have been the greatest football player of all time had his life not ended so unexpectedly. He still holds the unofficial season sack record in FBS and is tied for 1st in sacks in one game in the NFL. He could have done so much more.
