There's good discussion both ways.
I guess the problem I have most with McKinnon is he was in a run-first offense in Minny and only wrestled 1 start out of it from Latavius (which some are not high on either).
Yes, he did do well as a change-of-pace back. But maybe that's all he'll be good at. Its not his fault Niners threw all kinds of cash at him. How many backs get discovered after 3 years in the league? I'm sure it's a short list. I see the attraction.

I just think McCaffrey is a safer choice. Olsen hurt last year could be a factor, or it could also open up the field for him?
I’m with you on favoring McCaffery. The “Guru “ has McKinnon on his short breakout list, thus my interest on what others think of him.

i wanna know who deserves to be called guru this much
This much? He's a you tube guy and considers himself a FF nerd not a guru. That is just me poking fun at him. He's not the sort you ever expect to be in a league with.

Ill take CMC. Hes 4 years younger and a little more proven. That said i doubt he can ever be a real workhorse so that caps his upside a bit. He could catch 80 balls a year though which is pretty sweet in ppr and .5 ppr.

Mckinnon has a lot of upside year one thanks to Shanahan and the potential to catch a lot of passes but he's not a proven workhorse either dating all the way back to college. I also really like Breida actually.

Ultimately both are good dynasty backs to own but id probably have McCaffrey around RB12-15 and Mckinnon as like RB15-18 (off the top of my head).

Define breakout i guess. Hes a popular choice to breakout though so his value isn't really in a place to buy low cheaply imo.

I feel like my view of him is very dependent on what hed cost me. Im not taking him over sayyy Melvin Gordon or Brandin Cooks in a dynasty but id take him over Lesean Mccoy, Mark Ingram, or DJ Moore. And i think values on him vary widely by owner so hes probably very dependent on the league and owner.

Huge Shanny offense fan. I've spot started McKinnon throughout his career to both ends. Most recently when everyone fought to pick up an injured Latavius, I snagged McKinnon for cheap. But this question is easy. McCaffrey every time.

Let's get one thing clear, McKinnon is not a perfect fit for Shanny. In fact McCaffrey would be a much better fit as just one example. McKinnon is only the best that was available, or at least they think he's the best.

But none of that matters that much. Here's what you need to know. McKinnon is disappointing. That's his way of being, his internal essence. I guess this year will be the one that gets mass remembered.

Yep, I think McAffrey could be MVP level type stuff, all pro at minimum, in that style of offense

Panthers gonna ride CMC for all he's worth, doesn't really look like a 2nd contract player at RB (though maybe at slot). He'll get a ton of targets again. He's too horizontal on the outside, RR has chided him on that.

I haven't been keeping up with this, but CJA may be a good stealth pick -> if he's healthy, I predict a lot of TD's from 10-in. They're going to use a similar rotation as with J-stew.
