I have been a very big fan of Talib - he brought something extra in terms of motivation and he made big plays. He has been almost uncanny in his ability to return interceptions to the house.

Now for the role the Broncos played Talib - as a sort of tough guy enforcer - Roby is certainly better equipped for that role based on his build and body mass. Roby also has long arms and Roby also has managed to be around the ball at the right time at big moments in games.

It is conceivable to me that Roby can be a better all around contributor to the defense than Aqib Talib. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Roby's season turns out.

Nobody loves Roby more than me, so I hope you’re right. Talib had that extra nasty edge to him though. He was a corner stone of the identity of this defense. Those are big shoes

Not sure about that. Because he's a former Buckeye I've followed his NFL career since day 1 and he's my favorite Bronco on the team. I hope he has a great year.

My concern is can Woods deliver as DC that's my question. I love Roby but,we'll find out how huge the loss of Talib turns out to be. The dynamic changes with 1 less exp starter level CB in the mix. The lack of tude will that make us better the same or worse on D. We'll see how things play out. .

Yeah big shoes and some unnecessary penalties (though snagging the gold chain was priceless).

Yes professor - on the other hand I think Aqib Talib was the sacrificial goat for the defense/offense animosity last year (the year before that scapegoat was Coach Phillips).

I don't think it is worth measuring who likes Bradley Roby the most. Did you purchase his jersey?

I did. ;)

Roby is ready.. He has waited patiently. I loved what Talib did here and I would gladly have him remain on the roster. If I had my way we would have kept him one more year, but I get it... It is a business. But I am focusing on what is here, not what isn't here. Golden opportunity for Roby and I think he is ready. He has shown a lot of class waiting in the wing.

This is Whorendous!

DC's mom packs each decade of Bronco's jerseys in a new hope chest - for DC to fondle in his old age.

Roby only because of cost and age.

I definitely understand the losing of Talib as salary/age/direction of the team moving forward it was just time to make the move. I hope Roby can be everything we all hoped when he was drafted. He has shown games of looking like a top-5 CB and others he just looked completely lost.

The one big area that I don't think Roby will ever reach the level of Talib though is just the understanding of everything the offense is trying to do and being able to make big plays that so few others would have ever seen coming. He has a way of setting an offense up and making them think something is there then boom pick-6.
