looks like he may not be suspended
I hope he doesn't because that would be a very sad waste of talent. But I certainly wouldn't feel sorry for him if he did.

Very limited player as Gruden is finding out, but you can simplify things for him and just let him run and catch.

Problem is Gruden doesn't want to do that as he's trying to teach his offense, not some martavis-able version.

I'm going to agree and disagree with that.

Really just the word "very" I disagree with.

MB had started expanding his route tree, but no where near the variety of Antonio Brown so yes, he has limitations in that area.

IMO, I would blame Gruden more than Bryant...hell, you had to see him play before you made the trade. Was he a fit for your version of the WC OFC or not?

Still have to blame Bryant. Gruden, at a minimum, wanted a chance to try to teach him. If Bryant is unteachable, Gruden couldn't have actually known that until he personally tried.

Bryant has a skillset that is desirable, but he is unable to do the other things that enable him to use it regularly.

I'm not sure there is really anything to blame...yet. They haven't played any games that matter. Gruden has basically said he wants to see more from Bryant...whatever that means.

So from my standpoint, you don't trade a 3rd rd pick for a player that you don't think can come in and make an impact right away...i.e. he's already has played in a system similar to yours. On that end, if we are going to lay blame, sure, MB needs to work hard to learn, etc., but I think more has to go on the guy making the trade.

Essentially you're saying Bryant is a one trick pony without actually saying it. Having seen all of his games, Bryant is a limited player and therefore IMO he's never going to be a #1, but he has grown from being basically a deep threat and nothing more. He CAN be a very good #2, but he's still a work in progress. Aside from his mouth, and weed problems, what made him expendable in PIT was Juju...not as fast, but a more well rounded player that you can split out wide and play him in the slot.

Or maybe Gruden is just trying light a fire under his ass. Always a lot of smokescreens, mind games and other coaching devices at play in training camp. I don't expect much out of MB - Pittsburgh (and Ben) have made a lot of 'ordinary' receivers look tremendous. The kid has raw talent, but the light never seems to come completely on.

This is true but with Bryant pissing and moaning about depression caused his drug suspension......
The criticism could trigger a relapse in the pot smoking dip shit.

MB was easily the most talented WR on the Steeler roster. Like his WR coach said during his rookie season: "The only thing that can stop Martavis Bryant, is Martavis Bryant." And he stopped himself repeatedly.

Dude is just TOO dumb.

Can we trade Bell to the Patriots, and he proceeds to immediately retire to be a full time rapper, or maybe tears an achilles in camp?

That would just make it all perfect, getting rid of both our malcontents and screwing over historic hated rivals.

They hate us cause' they ain't us.....

(we don't want him)
