it's going to be midnight before my gators get to play.. freaking 3 hour rain delay... Why oh why do they not start these games at 11am central? Its summer and pop up showers are the norm there.. makes no damn sense to me!

Omaha is a really great setting for the CWS but every year there seems to be wacky weather and long delays.

Florida is in trouble.
Their starters, except for Singer, are not the quality they've
had in the past. Their bullpen is excellent, but it will be difficult
to win 4 games pitching by committee.
They won't be able to use Singer again until next Friday, which would
be the first bracket championship game. Then, if they wanted to give
him the proper rest couldn't use him till the third game of the Title
series.
They haven't played real well down the stretch. They only had 4 wins
in their last 11 reg season/conf tourney games and are only 5-3
in the playoffs.
They couldn't afford Singer getting beat.

It's Nebraska. It could be 75 one day and then a chance of snow the next.
Yesterday's storm was quick moving with heavy rain and lots of lightening. I don't know why the rain delay was so long though. Where I was it moved in quick and was over in about 30 minutes.

pitching doesnt worry me its the shitty defense that will keep them from repeating as champs....

The worst thing about rain is, it can upset pitching staffs and
lead to tired arms.
You get a 2 or 3 hour delay and you might be forced to make a
move on the mound, because of a stiff arm. If you have a thrower
shutting somebody down, you don't want to be forced to remove him
and go deeper into your pen.
That not only affects today, but the future as well.
