@Yellow Fuzzies pretty ballzy taking Dez in 9th round. Good luck sir but below is why I wouldn’t draft Dez.

I dislike the pick for a few reasons.
1) Not the same dez as few years ago
2) No team
3) When he does land on a team how many games will he have missed and will he be in game shape by then
4) The risk in suicide league where you need your bench more then ever
5) I hate cowboys
Five n 2 kinda cancel each other out, so really only 3 reasons

@Yellow Fuzzies should be a interesting battle. Scoring Gurley with the 1.4 was dang good. I still got some picks to go, so IDK yet how I like my chances.

One thing about grabbing a player that's suspended or not picked up yet..............at least they aren't hurt.

A lot of pressure I feel on Dak this year.
Meh, yes and no. Pressure to play better than last year, yes, for sure. But given no Dez, no Written, I don't think much will be expected in raw numbers. There's expectations for the offense to be better, more efficient, but I don't think anyone is really expecting Dak to be an all pro, or anything

Lefty draft synopsis: As I see it, this team hinges on the ability of several key players staying on the field - specifically my WRs, and as always, my top RBs. With that said, this group can be very successful provided things go right, putting the team in the top 3. On the flip-side, if things fall apart, the low end of the pack could just as easily happen. Although I missed on some guys I wanted (which is to be expect when drafting against pros) I'm really happy with the team. A 3-peet is possible, but feel less confident that I luck out and all starter maintain health for the full season this year.
In the 'A' 'B' Challenge my matchup is Face. Those games will simply come down to my RBs vs his WRs (thank goodness this isn't ppr). Think I have a slight edge at QB but the RB vs WR scenario is going to be the telling factor.

Player by player breakdown:

QB -
Russell Wilson (Rd 5 pick 53) - Well, SEA did nothing to improve the OL and that was actually a plus (I think) for him fantasy-wise. He will have to continue his playing style in his version of Fran Tarkenton leading to good rushing numbers to go along with his improved passing. Ended up as the #2 overall QB last yr and nothing has really changed to prevent him from great numbers again this yr. I may have jumped a bit early on this pick, but 4 others QBs went in the back half of the rd - so probably not a major stretch.

Philip Rivers (rd 11 pick 125) - Always solid and has plenty of weapons. Bye week fits well and generally starts strong (which Wilson generally does not). Could easily surpass 4000yds and 30TDs - not bad for a 'backup'. If nothing else, I became 'dead' to Joe with the pick - that says something.

RB -
Kareem Hunt (Rd 1 pick 5) - Last yrs leading rusher and the only real change in the team is moving away from Alex Smith for a last yr rookie with little experience. Andy Reid is still there and his system, which has produced great RB production for yrs, is still in-place. Plus the 'word' is that they want to get him more involved in the passing game. He was successful catching the ball and turning in big plays last yr, but they mysteriously decided to cut back - if the coaching staff is true to their word, Hunt could be looking at consistent 3 down work and massive numbers.

Devonta Freeman (Rd 3 pick 29) - For a #2 RB this was really a steal IMO. Very productive back in a good fit and situation. The only concern is durability but the value was just too good to pass up.

Mark Ingram (Rd 6 pick 68) - Yes, he's suspended the first 4 games but hopefully I don't need him before week 8. He's a key part of one of the best running teams in the NFL and will hopefully come back to regain his big back role. At the very least, he'll be fresh and if Kamara should get over-used in his absence, he just could be a real steal here - or in the less likely scenario, Payton is pissed and give him the Willie Snead treatment making him totally useless.

Aaron Jones (Rd 8 pick 92) - Kind of a crap-shoot, but all the RBs at this point are. Hoping they give him first crack at regaining his last season role, one where he proved to be the most talented back on the team. If so, the lead back has always put up good numbers in the GB offense and he could really payoff.

WR -
Keenan Allen (Rd 2 pick 20) - Actually wanted a safer pick here but the numbers are just too good to ignore. Obviously the #1 option for Rivers and a sure bet for at least 1200yds and 8TDs if he can maintain health.

Stepon Diggs (Rd 4 pick 44) - Big play and consistent performer. Very skilled with the ball in his hands capable of breaking a big gain at anytime. Actually wanted his team-mate (for durability reasons), but Tlance took him right before me. Hopefully he can stay on the field for 16 games, in which case he will be a co-#1 receiver for me.

Emmanuel Sanders (Rd 7 pick 77) - Actually it's came down to him or Edelman and Fuzzy made the choice easy.
Keenum leaned heavy on Thielen in MIN and Sanders is more like him than Thomas. If he can stay healthy, 1000yds and 6-7TDs is easily in reach. Kind of wanted someone with a different bye week here but the value/upside seemed to good to pass up.

Randall Cobb (Rd 9 pick 101) - Very surprised he fell this far, especially with Jordy out of town. Upside is high, especially if they don't sign a veteran FA. Thinking the 1000yd 7-8TD range is well within reach.

DJ Moore (rd 13 pick 149) - Basically had a different bye week from my other WRs and just didn't care for the others remaining. Early buzz is that he will fill the Benjamin void, or at worst the Funchess role. Either way is fine by me for a 5th WR.

TE - George Kittle (rd 12 pick 140) - Waited and waited after the top guys went off the board since pretty much the best you can hope for is a guy who will be a red-zone target. He's solid enough going into his second yr with Jimmy G - kind of hoping the Patriot way of thinking transitions over and he becomes a prime piece of this up and coming offense.

DST - DENVER (Rd 10 pick 116) - . Like what they did in the draft and with what they already had, they can be one of the top units. Considering the upgrades at QB, it's doubtful they will have to be on the field for 58 of 60 minutes like last yr.

K - Harrison Butker (Rd 14 pick 164) - He's a kicker that met my criteria of having a different bye than my TE and DST, also wanted to avoid wks 8 and 10. He does all that, and plays for a pretty darn good offense.

At that point in the draft I decided I could go contrarian. He should land somewhere and when he does he will be motivated. I will not draft Dez in a standard or dynasty league, but "this is suicide I tell you".

Ha ha ha ha at Dez being motivated. Wait till he doesn’t get the ball. Oh just like now where he hasn’t landed with a team. I do feel he still can be a good player however he isn’t the same Dez Bryant teams want on there team. He hasn’t been that productive past few years so I feel it’s a wasted draft spot. You could have went with a #2 WR on a teams roster who will produce more fantasy points then Dez. Now on a side note I am all for my Redskins bringing in Dez for cheap but that’s not what Dez wants. He wants the Ravens contract but on a NFC East team. His negatives out way his hopeful production.

Oh and it’s not a horrible pick I don’t want you think I’m bashing the pick I just think it’s very risky in suicide league.

A vs B challenge : SP's team

They still need to finish, but I think my advantage at WR could overcome the Hunter Henry pick - Burton vs Ertz, grasshopper vs former master

RB and QB looking like a wash, imo

Joe Draft Synopsis
Flashback to last year, I lost the #1 overall pick David Johnson in game 1. Last year I also drafted 4 WR when we start 3. One of those 4 was Edelman who also was hurt for the year. Decided not to over-think this year and even mix in a little "Opposite George" in the decision making - that is, not stick to my traditional way of ruling out players.

QB Breakdown
Matthew Stafford (8th rd) - Was only the 7th QB off the board. Not typically a choice I'd make. But he's NEVER missed a game. Always puts up solid numbers. And was one of the few QB left whose targets, team and OC stayed the same.
Jared Goff (12th rd) - Even Treff commented he was surprised that he didn't end up as someone's #1. Not a bad backup who might just challenge Stafford.

RB Breakdown
Took Jordan Howard (1st) and Dalvin Cook (2nd) with the first 2 picks. Truth told I almost took Cook first. But I really wanted Howard just to shut up all the Jordan Howard haters. Howard on a terrible Bears' team racked up 1300 yards. Adding Nagy (did you see what he did for Hunt and Alex Smith last year?) and revamping the offense, I expect nothing less. Plus I wanted someone to root for on my suicide team.

Kind of shocked C.J. Anderson (7th) lasted as long as he did. (Maybe because some idiot owners are drafting unproven rookies. Thank you.) Especially with recent news feeds that the Panthers offense will stay primarily the same with Anderson filling the Jonathan Stewart role. If JStew can get 800 yards, that should be Anderson's floor. And yes, Joe took a rookie - Kerryon Johnson (9th). Not holding my breath but he's already "impressed at OTA's" if that means anything.

WR Breakdown
All WR are divas. And after last year's team debacle, I just was hoping to get 5 (not 4, but 5) that last most of the season. I'm content with my quintet. Demaryius Thomas (3rd) who had nearly 1K last year has a better QB in Keenum. Alshon Jeffrey (4th) plays on a solid offense even tho he may be brittle. Michael Crabtree (5th) was shipped off to Baltimore where he should easily surpass Mike Wallace's pathetic numbers. Nabbed Kelvin Benjamin (10th) as the lead dog in Buffalo - ya think they won't be passing a ton in losing situations? And then took a flyer on Marqise Lee (11th) who by all accounts is assured of a starting gig in Jacksonville.

TE, K and D/ST Breakdown
Jay Cutler's best man - Greg Olsen (6th). He disappointed me last year by missing 9 games with a foot injury. But he's clearly Cam's first passing option. And he has been healthy since last Thanksgiving.

Sniping Jake Elliott (13th) from tlance is always a boost. As for D/ST, I wasn't about to reach early for one. Not after last year's injuries to my suicide team. The quality of the available players in the middle rounds FAR outweighs the value of even an elite D/ST. So I simply waited out what was left. Carolina has a tough schedule. For me it came down to either the Steelers or Bears. I went with my hometown Bears (14th).

so who's up for coma? I'm in..@Barilko , @leftypower , @SmokingMonkey , @TKOSpikes , and @Yellow Fuzzies.
You guys up, or no?

I feel I need to tell you guys this now - - I am most definitely OUT for Coma. Only did it last yr so there would be enough for a league. With the best ball thing going (which I'm not doing either) figure you need time to recruit. .... just let me know who it is, so they can be added as co-owner of White Zombies. .....
After 3 straight yrs with no QB - it's time to hang it up. ..... tell whomever you get to replace me that I'll gladly send them my list of who's available.

I just looked. You going with one QB will be interesting.
Yup, it’s risky for sure, going to need RW to stay healthy. Added depth with the two positions that usually have multiple injuries.

I'm mad at myself for passing on Aaron Jones one too many times. Might be one of the best values in the draft.
