I also think Harry Carson was vastly underrated. Great player

Definitely, some Giant fans would have him there over any of the QB's

For the Eagles you are probably 3 out of 4

If you go by fan's opinion, Donovan McNabb does not even come close to sniffing it.

Objectively McNabb probably does not belong there either.

The only way McNabb belongs on this list is if the requirement is to include a QB. McNabb is greatest franchise QB so far by numbers, though there is a good chance Wentz will surpass him there, even if he does not win a Super Bowl. If Wentz wins a Super Bowl it does not even come close. Is McNabb one of the greatest four franchise players? Definitely not.

Greater franchise player beyond doubt of those left of the list: Chuck Bednarick (though I can imagine if you have blocked him from your mind, seeing what he did to Gifford).

Looking by fan-following/fan-reverence:

The likes of Jerome Brown, Randall Cunningham, Jason Peters, Harold Carmichael, Herman Edwards, Duce Staley (possibly), Brian Westbrook and Nick Foles all easily surpass McNabb.
No, I screwed up, if you will. I simply forgot about Bednarik since I was doing this strictly by memory. I'd take out McNabb and put in 'Concrete Charlie'.

How is Mel Hein not on the Giants list?
Mel Hein, Ken Strong, Emlen Tunnell, Harry Carson, Rosey Brown, Andy Robustelli, Tuffy Leemans, and Sam Huff were all studs. Damn, this franchise has been around since 1925. It's hard with only four spots.

tough to argue...tho id put law over haynes. haynes had 28 picks here. law had 36. he also scored 6 TD's here.

Tough call, but I'm sticking with Haynes. He was the as big as a lot of LB's in his day and could really fly. He also played in an era when teams threw 20-25 times a game.

Edit;

Honorable mentions for NE. Bruce Armstrong, Matt Light, John Hannah and Steve Nelson.

Yeah. Giants, Packers, Bears all have some absolute legends that are tough to leave out or put in over more recent greats. Really hard to narrow it down to just 4 with those teams. But I just can’t picture a Bears list without Bronko or a Packers list without Hutson or a Giants list without Hein.

Broncos - Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow, maybe Elway (otherwise, one more Tebow)

Fuckin' a right. And that's why Elway got rid of Tebow. He knew if Touchdown Timmy remained a Bronco he'd surpass everything # 7 did as a QB. The proof is right there. Just look @ his NFL career after the Broncos let him get away. Oh wait a minute. How's his baseball career doing?
