I know, maybe the Fuckin idiot can play offensive line, quarterback, running back, and wide receiver......
And at 17 million if his dick can reach his ass, he can go fuck himself.

Mother fucker wants to impress someone and get 17 million a year, we need a good cornerback. Maybe he should play offense and defense.

Running a football and catching a football is the job of a running back, so he ain't doing anything special.

Let's talk about rescinding that franchise tag on Le'Veon Bell

Get rid of the drama queen.......

Fuck the sorry sack of shit, right in the pussy.
Much as most of us would like this, IMO it's a bad move especially before the draft. We would have to draft a top RB first before they could even consider rescinding the tag. Plus, why let him walk for free? I like the sign and trade option but not within our own division which leaves Cleveland and a possible trade for Barkley out. I wonder if we'd get enough back for him though. Teams tend to low ball when they know you have to make a trade.

While I do agree it's a bad move, you have to figure they have up until he signs it to rescind it. And like last year, when he signed it what, a week before week one....that gives the Steelers plenty of time.

And even if they go the trade route, who is going to pay him that kind of cash????
He well literally make the running back position UNaffordable to any team.

But yea man, a trade to get Barkley......would be so sweet!!!!

Report: Pittsburgh Steelers bringing back RB Stevan Ridley

Does this end discussions about drafting a RB in the 1st? We would have Bell, Toussaint, Conner, Ridley, Nix and (for example) Guice. Don't think we need 6 RBs and I'd like to go on record and say that we need to cut the dead weight in Toussaint. I have no idea why we keep him around. Does nothing but fumble the ball.

That's the $64,000 question! It would have to be a bottom feeder with lots of cap space. Or maybe the Rams, they're trading for everyone else. LoL!!! But I doubt the Rams have the cap space plus they have Gurley at a reasonable price (I think).

Not if they plan on letting Bell walk next year and if Guice is there at 28. If they draft Guice or someone else, I'd think Toussaint would be odd man out but expect a camp battle for the back up roles. PLus until Bell signs the Tag whcih may be after week 4 of preseason again they need the bodies.

Exactly. Bell is a goner after this season. I know there a faint glimmer of hope that a long term deal will get done, but lets be real here. Neither side is budging on this, and he's destined for the tag or to be traded if they land the RB they want in the draft. But to the point, nothing takes RB off the draft agenda when the future of the position has so much doubt. Guice & Conner sounds like a good 2019 RB corps to me.

I don't think asking for a lot of money has anything to do with it. IMO the big issue for fans is he said he wanted to be a Steeler for life but when the rubber met the road he failed to put his pen where is mouth is and refused to budge off his crazy ass number. He's clearly putting himself before the team and fans don't like that and the fact he lied to us about his intentions. There are/were a lot of players in all sports being paid a lot of money in the city and none of them were seen as villains when they asked for the big bucks. Ben, AB, McCluthen, Sid, Geno, MAF, etc.... Hell, Phil Kessel makes $8 or $9 mil a year and he quickly became one of the most beloved figures in the city soon after he got here. Now I know Phil didn't sign that contract here but he didn't have the best rep when he got here by a long shot. But fans gave him a chance and a clean slate. He clearly said the right things when he got here and put in the effort needed to win and quickly became a fan favorite.

So for Bell to blame it on asking for or making a lot of money is BS in my book. It's clearly all his words and actions (suspensions) that have fans up in arms. Acting like the fans are mad simply because he asked for a big contract/a lot of money is insulting to the fans.

At this stage of the game, I don't even see a bottom feeder team doing it.....
To pay one idiot an amount of money far beyond that of any running back would literally explode the market price on all running backs. Everyone will be holding out demanding more money if Bell were to get 17 million a year. Now do you want to be the owner sitting in an owners meeting with 31 other guys when you just took the average pay of running backs from approx..10 million to 17 million???? Bell is not only being selfish and not only trying to break the bank in Pittsburgh, but this will literally effect the entire NFL.

That is a very good point. If he's not willing to come down at all, no one will want him at the high price he wants.

Git yourn asses in here.......

I was reading, that Pittsburgh can sign this tard to another franchise tag next year also.
It would cost even more money to do it a third year, which makes it even more insane to do it, but if I'm reading correctly that a player can be franchised year after year after year????

Granted we have never seen this happen in the NFL because the NFL hasn't met a gold digging bitch like bell before, but is this truly the case????

Yep...the 3rd yr price is so insane that I'm not sure it's ever been done, and I would wager a hefty sum that it won't happen here...They're giving Ben his weapons for '18, and imo this is the only reason they tagged him again...Ben committed to coming back during the season last yr so they are reloaded with hopefully some better players on DEF with Burnett and Bostic and chase #7.

If Ben stay for '19 (his final season under this deal), he'll have a new RB I think.

The Skins did that with Cousins but it was because the Skins are idiots and not gold digging by Cousins. And of course the 3rd tag would've been so high that Cousin got to walk away free this season. This is where we're headed with Bell. If they don't work out a contract, tagging him next year will cost way too much to do.

That's what I was reading, but you don't know what's true or bullshit anymore.
It said this being his second is 120% of his salary and the third year is 144% of his salary or the average of the top 5 paid in the NFL, whichever is highest.

I mean did this fucktard, even with his talent, think anyone in the NFL is going to shell out 18 mil a year for 5 years, for a player at a position with a very short shelf life.....
This guy is taking greedy bastard to a whole new level.

The 1st Cousin's tag imo was the right move because there just wasn't a big enough body of work to justify a long term deal. The second one I think they should've worked out a long term deal and paid the man. IMO Cousins is a stats QB, by nature of the way the game is played today (3rd & 1 or 2, QB is in the shotgun 80% of the time) in this NFL...he's a commodity.

Bell...as I was mentioning to Psych...the FO feels they are close enough to a ring that they weren't going to take a key weapon away from Ben so they sucked it up on the 2nd tag...no way will they do a 3rd.

I'm looking forward to the season, but I'm so over Bell at this point...it wouldn't have bothered me in the least to cut ties with him...hell I wish he'd sign the damn tag already, I'd trade his ass this season.
