hey AB dont do stupid crap

Never said he did.... for your sake the Steelers should move on from Brown, which they are correctly doing in Bell... WR/RBs aren't worth the huge amount of money these days, and most teams that sign up for that are failing. Even look at Seattle... they were doing just fine until they signed Harvin (WR), Graham (WR/TE), and Lynch (RB) to massive contracts. Fail all over.

One amusing thing is all the fake Ian Rappaport accounts on Twitter, all posting hilarious shit like, Julio Jones traded to Ravens for Joe Flacco! Jones traded to Giants for Ereck Flowers!

Funny thing is they may all be closer to the truth than Rapaport.

Unpopular take btw: Maybe the Falcons actually should trade Julio. They clearly don't know how to use him. He had just three scores for them last season. That's amazing.
I'd be fine trading him depending on return obviously. JJ is a beast and about the nicest dude in the world but he's getting older and drops are starting go creep in. Plus you don't need a beast WR to win

It seems that once a WR hits a certain status (diva maybe), their benefit to the team goes down.
They will either harass the QB into throwing their way too much or the QB will just try to get it to them when he is not open. Either way results in too many incompletions or INT's.

Yeah, the first thing that comes to mind when you mention Graham, Harvin and Lynch is Antonio Brown.....Those three have crazy production.....

Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, OBJ, Antonio Brown...

when are these dumbass franchises going to realize that a good wideout has nothing to do with a Super Bowl team? LOL at the first fail franchise that signs OBJ.

I think you meant elite WRs because every team needs good ones.

In either case.

ATL recently played in a SB and lost due to some bone headed decisions that had zero to do with Julio (which I'm sure you can relate to)...remember...just run the fucking ball?

DET, and CIN were never contenders so it wouldn't have mattered who they were throwing to, but people come to see AJ and the top WRs play....trust me, that matters in CIN.

Until Tomlin solves BB, it doesn't really matter in PIT either.

Yes I did mean elite. No team in recent memory that won the Super Bowl had an elite WR.

Demaryious Thomas was elite when Denver won the SB. I'd also argue Philly isn't winning the SB without Alshon Jeffrey.

Jeffrey isn't elite. Thomas, I'll give you that to some degree... but that team won it's Super Bowl on the back of a defense. Question, was Thomas under a new contract or his initial one? I feel like the last elite WR group that won a Super Bowl was the Rams with Holt/Bruce.

I can't push back on that, but at the same time I wouldn't let my elite WR go base on that intel. I would question buying one on the FA market from another team because you may not be able to re-create the same dynamic with a different QB, different system, etc.

As mentioned...ATL had their SB wrapped up...NE (w/Moss) ran into a perfect storm that was the NYG DL.
