Frank Gore and Stretch Osweiler?? Not sure of terms of deals but kid like Gore, not so sure about Stretch. Maybe takes heat off of need for QB in high pick this year, but if there are a few left in 3-4 round like kid from Richmond or WK, may be worth shot.

Gore is a good choice because he'll just need to share carries with Drake. Gore wont need to be a primary back because Drake has that role. It's a good story that Gore gets to finish his career in Miami where he's from. I think he's a special talent who is still capable of being productive.

Osweiler is an upgrade over Moore in my opinion.

I think it all revolves around the QB. Tannehill is not the answer, IMO. They need to get one of the QB's in this draft. Out of all the ones available, they should be able to get one in second round, not sure if they should take one in first, think secondary help is top priority. Out of the QB's available, here are my thoughts. Obviously Tannehill will be starter, but injuries are concern and need to get solid back up and potential starter in waiting.

10 Mason Rudolph Oklahoma St. Sr QB 1 6-5 230 - Maybe available second round
14 Lamar Jackson Louisville Jr QB 2 6-3 200 - No
16 Josh Rosen UCLA Jr QB 3 6-4 220 - Gone
19 Sam Darnold USC Soph QB 4 6-4 225 - Gone
35 Baker Mayfield Oklahoma Sr QB 5 6-1 218 - Gone
116 Josh Allen Wyoming Jr QB 6 6-5 233 - Gone
161 Logan Woodside Toledo Sr QB 7 6-2 201 third or fourth rounder
177 Mike White Western Ky. Sr QB 8 6-4 225 third or fourth rounder
199 Kyle Lauletta Richmond Sr QB 9 6-3 215 - second round potential, sleeper??
208 Nick Stevens Colorado St. Sr QB 10 6-3 200 - back up
213 Riley Ferguson Memphis Sr QB 11 6-4 210 - back up
232 Luke Falk Wash. State Sr QB 12 6-4 225 - third or fourth rounder, I think possible sleeper
256 Chase Litton Marshall Jr QB 13 6-6 223 - back up
265 Kurt Benkert Virginia Sr QB 14 6-4 220 - back up
271 J.T. Barrett Ohio St. Sr QB 15 6-2 220 - No

There ARE some sleepers in the draft - problem is they are still on a lot of teams radar.....
I like Lauletta and White and one you did not mention - Chad Kanoff.....

Kanoff is from small school. A worthwhile late round risk. If he does not get drafted, he will be a priority free agent. Patriots will be calling him.....

"Amendola had taken pay cuts in three consecutive offseasons to remain in New England. It’s unclear what the Patriots offered him ahead of free agency, though it’s not surprising they were not willing to pay a 32-year-old slot receiver $6 million per year."

Southieinnc,

It's no wonder he wanted to leave. He got tired of taking pay cuts. I am sure he's enjoying the weather here a lot more also.

Winning is the only reason FA's stay with the Pats. Even with winning some of the players are growing tired of Belichick. Gronk for example. Even Brady isn't going to be at the start of the Pats camp.

I see an AFC East with teams that will be improving at the QB spot. Meanwhile, the Pats let Garropolo walk. I was glad to see him leave the Pats.

I don't agree with letting Jarvis Landry go. He was a big target for the Fins and they are greatly going to miss him in the slot. I'm not sure who they'd have to fill that role.

The Fins are all set at WR. They added Amendola and Wilson to take his place.

On a different note the Fins traded for DT Akeem Spence. He's an experienced player who is still young at 26, This is a very good signing. DT was the biggest remaining need of the offseason.

Spence is not Suh but he'll definitely help fight the cause and at a good price. The pass D should be a lot better this year so they can focus on the run a little more. Plus the LB'S should be faster now and be able to get to the point of attack and cover RB'S better. Will be interesting...

You don't think that he will literally want to make the patsies pay for not paying him twice next year? Pretty sure he will do his best to stick it to BB...

He'll play his best - including against the Pats but not because he wants to "stick it to BB"

All former players want to do this especially if they weren't getting paid. He will be extremely motivated when playing NE.

All players want to stick it to their former teams 2x a year don't they? Amendola will be no different this season against the Patriots.

Ryan Tannehill is expected to have “little or no limitations” when the Dolphins begin organized team activities next week, Armando Salguero reports. Still, the Dolphins likely use caution with the starting quarterback, giving backups Brock Osweiler and David Fales more work.

Tannehill, 29, has not attempted a regular-season pass since December 11, 2016. He partially tore his ACL in the final month of 2016 and then further tore the same ligament in a training camp practice last year.

The Dolphins are optimistic and enthusiastic about Tannehill’s return.

“It’s been impressive to watch Ryan really throw the football and the command he has of the offense,” Dolphins offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said, via Salguero. “The 2016 season, he had such a good year. For me, the first thing I did was turn on the [2017] OTAs and the training camp right before he got hurt and got to watch how much improvement and how much jump he had taken in Year 2, and it was unfortunate that he got hurt because obviously the offense was affected by it.”

Well, would you rather win and get paid a reasonable amount of money 1.5 to 2 million a year or make very good money and play for average, at best team that will struggle to make playoffs. I guess towards end of career, you need to go for the money.
