OK then I agree with you on the keeping Gronk and the 3 WRs...

I would go with the 4 WRs for sure now. Here is why:

If Bell's suspension does not get overturned, he does not make a great keeper value in round 1. After looking at the list, a few of the teams ahead of you are already using their first round picks on a keeper. Keeping Gronk makes no sense because he will likely be available to you at your pick. If not Gronk, certainly Elliott or Bell.

I have no problem drafting Gronk with that first pick, but keeping him offers zero advantage because you will be able to draft a comparable player anyway. Locking in on Gronk only serves to limit your options. Keep all 4 WRs and then look to draft RB heavy with a QB and TE in the first 5-6 rounds. That is what I would do.

Absolutely. Gronk, Bell and Shady as a threading is great keeper value... take one out and the value disappears. Keeping the four WR allows you to go nine rounds without even needing to look at WR.

Baldwin vs Brown

#1 option on a low volume attack vs #2/3 option(?) on a high volume attack.........and that sounds like it answers itself, but Baldwin is slightly more of a bargain being my 15th rounder vs Brown in the 12th.

I know we have a few pro-Brown officially breaking out this season folks, but haven't heard much of anything regarding Baldwin, outside of his new contract and most think his TDs regress. But if Wilson truly is a great QB, you'd think he could throw for 35-40 per year regularly, now that Seattle let him open it up more and it was successful.

Can't really argue with that. I just love Brown. And he actually was better when all three (Fitz and Floyd) were on the field. I mean, I wanna say he didn't score under 8... but I could be wrong.

He has steadily improved each year though... where Baldy kind of came out of the journeyman closet last year... but you're right, he's still the #1 option for RW.

I do agree with your points... But i would not want to risk anything... This is a 10 team league, and he is already going to be pretty strong at WR, why not be safe and own the best TE too... and then he can get 2 top 10 RBs in the 2nd and third...

Lets just say he doesn't keep Gronk, and he is taken in the first round before monkey gets his pick... Then he will definitely draft a RB in the first 2 rounds... Sure his Running back situation would probably be better, but how MUCH better???

Baldwin season last year was amazing. He actually was only targeted about 100 times for 78 catches, but those TDs made the difference. I would expect his TDs to go back to the norm which is about a third of what he did last year. Coaching staff swears the offense is going back to the run game and Baldwin said the same in a interview before he extended his contract.
So expect the Seahawks to come out running the ball, not throwing. If that falls flat, then the Seahawks would switch it up and throw.
So even though I'm a Seahawk homer I'd take Brown over Baldwin. Lockett will be getting more looks this year, Prosise will nab some throws, Richardson is back and he'll get a small slice ( he's looked great in camp), perhaps Graham makes it back at some point and Pete will not forget the run game.

That isn't being safe though. That is overvaluing your own guy. I understand the advantage that owning Gronk provides, but again, his pick is either 2nd or 3rd overall once the keepers are factored in. If Gronk isn't there, he ends up getting an elite RB. Either way, he will definitely get a top 10 overall player with his first pick. Why lock in on a player who doesn't provide An advantage over the player you will draft? Especially when keeping Gronk means you can't capitalize on the crazy value of the 4th WR.

Went with the 4 WRs - yesterday was due date.
ARob, Jordy, Brown, and Cooks

Going over the league, looks like it was a good decision, as I'll have pick #5, 9, 20

RB pool (I should be able to get 1 from the 1st group and 2 from the 2nd group)

Bell, Elliot, Miller, Charles, Shady

Lacy, Hyde, Ingram, Lat Murray, Forte, Matt Jones, CJ Anderson

Only 2 teams kept TEs, so Gronk will probably get snapped up before my 2nd pick, maybe even before my 1st pick.

Some dude kept Brady at first round price tag? Wow

I laughed at that guy for NOT keeping Jeremy Hill before last season, so I'm not going to make fun of my brother-in-law until the games start this go round.

But yea, he makes terrible decisions regularly.
Before he had 4 kids, he was actually a good fantasy football owner, but I guess being a good dad is something to hang your hat on as well........

I was managing the single dad thing quite well, being dad, golfing, watching as much football as I wanted. .then I got married again

draft day for this league and Barbs league for me today.

targeting Elliot, Charles, Bell with my 1st pick then hopefully Lamar or Shady make it back to me in the 2nd.

I'd even really love to see Bell come back to me in the 2nd, he's the one I don't really want to take in the 1st our of those 3.

Cmon Treff. No Elliott? Or are you assuming he is gone?

Elliott could be worth a first round pick for a long time. I don't think the Romo injury inpact him nearly as much as it does Dez.

1. (7) Jamaal Charles (KC - RB)
2. (14) LeSean McCoy (Buf - RB)
3. (27) Jeremy Hill (Cin - RB)
4. (34) Ryan Mathews (Phi - RB)
5. (47) DeAngelo Williams (Pit - RB)
6. (54) Golden Tate (Det - WR)
7. (67) Zach Ertz (Phi - TE)
8. (74) Blake Bortles (Jax - QB)
9. (87) Spencer Ware (KC - RB)
10. (94) Allen Robinson  (Jax - WR)
11. (107) Devontae Booker (Den - RB)
12. (114) John Brown  (Ari - WR)
13. (127) Minnesota (Min - DEF)
14. (134) Jordy Nelson  (GB - WR)
15. (147) Chandler Catanzaro (Ari - K)
16. (154) Brandin Cooks  (NO - WR)

Felt really weird reaching for RBs early and often to get a good mixture, Zeke, Bell, Gronk, Miller all went before I drafted Charles. Had a shot at Ingram over Shady, glad no one grabbed Bush or Gilislee yet.

Starting Lineup
Bortles
Charles, McCoy
ARob/Jordy/Cooks - fill 2 slots
Ertz
DWill (1st 3 weeks), then prob other WR from above
Catanzaro
Vikes DST @TEN to open the season
Bench
Hill, R Mathews, Ware, Booker
(Jordy/Cooks/ARob), G Tate, John Brown

Liked that I was able to cuff Charles with Ware, as well as grab Booker. He's been my targeted stash RB in all my $ leagues so far. CJ Anderson owners been sleeping. Took Golden Tate as my only WR drafted and not kept from previous season. I just felt like he was slipping a little, and he could easily ball out with Megatron gone in detroit.

Hate that I've got Charles in both money leagues so far, glad I have Ware in both.

Will be planning to stream or find a steady producer at QB/TE/DST as the season goes. QB always has good stuff off waivers since only 10 teams, same goes for pretty much all spots, even with 16 player rosters.
