I also wouldn't count on the Chiefs starting 1-5 to start the season in 2016. We'll see if the Broncos defense can carry them to 12+ wins again, because I wouldn't expect much from the offense. That said, I think they were smart to not overpay Brock. You're right I'm sure we can count on the Chiefs going on a 10-0 run to end the season every year. And how will they ever replace their 4th best LB and a DE that had maybe 2-3 good games last year.
The Broncos have replacements for Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan who while good players for us aren't people you can't live without. The main core of the Defense with the great pass rushers and great defensive backfield are still around so Denver hasn't had any real tragic losses.
Also unless our next starting QB is someone like Mark Sanchez they'll be fine. Whoever the starting QB is will be asked to just manage the game instead of being relied on to win it themselves every game so even someone like Kaepernick or RG3 can manage that. Especially since Denver has more talent on Offense than both the 49ers and Redskins did when they played for them.
Also Denver isn't losing CJ Anderson, they might lose Ronnie Hillman but even he wouldn't be that huge of a loss.

Your optimism must be on crack or something, Jackson was a significant part of that D even though not the star Miller is......And it is being reported that Anderson is leaving because they put a low tender on him and he is the starting RB.....And if you think RG 3& out can manage a championship run in any sense, you are not very bright...
Sanchez is a better qb than him so that outta tell you something....
We'll have to see who they come up with, maybe they could trade for Bradford and if he could stay healthy and the D be as good as last yr, and Wade not return to his normal losing ways, and Kubes stay healthy and, and , and.
Ah dadburnit, just hope for a miracle, it is more likely than all of those things.....
You also said Elway dumping Fox and picking up Kubiak would be a debacle. Whiffed on that one.
If by key pieces you mean some good players that could and likely are a product the system....sure

Just because Denver put a tender on Anderson doesn't mean he's gone, Denver can and will likely match the offer because they know how valuable he is.
Also when RG3 is given an actual good team to play with(like he did in his rookie year) he's shown what he can do. Obviously you give him crap he's gonna play like crap too because he hadn't developed into a type of QB that can make his team better just by being there. A lot to ask of a guy in his 2nd year coming off an injury. I'm not saying he's some amazing QB who will dominate the league but he certainly better than what Washington allowed him to do the past few years.
And let's not forget John Elway is actually good at his job, knows what he's doing, and knows how to properly run a team, I'd like to see you argue any of that about Dan Snyder.
I agree, possibly: I've been very critical of OB's decisions, i.e. not taking a QB and drafting that one play wonder and physical Freak instead.
Not sure if Osweiler is the answer. Could be wrong, I certainly admit that. He's at least had four years to learn the NFL game, something any rookie wont have.
I don't think they have the option to match on a low tender, and other teams are showing interest in him obviously.....So seeing they weren't willing to pay Oz and he skipped, they could be out bid and most likely will...
You can always match an offer on a RFA. Unless someone overpays like crazy for him Anderson isn't going anywhere especially since they don't have to pay Brock $18 million.

I don't know about RGIII, he looked great his rookie year but his decisions and health obviously were massive concerns after. And Cousins did pretty well last year with the same offense. 2014 I thought RGIII looked a lot worse than Colt McCoy and Cousins.
Cousins looked good this year but he looked awful in 2013 and just ok in 2014. Whereas RG3 looked great in 2012 and pretty good in 2013 before going to hell in 2014. And RG3 started 7 games in 2013 and was sacked an average of 5 times a game, hard to look good when you're constantly on your ass most of the game.
RG3 isn't a great player but for 2 of the 3 years he's played he's looked good to even really good at times, you can't ignore 2013 but he's definitely good enough to take a chance on.
It is shocking, he's been with them for some time, was mentored by one of the best QBs ever to play, and he did win some crucial games when Denver D was sputtering.
