Lol. Dungy hasn't coached since 2008 and couldn't win super bowl without Manning. Gruden had to do that. That is even assuming he even wants to coach. Love is a good coach but not what this team needs most at this point.

He's exactly the type of coach the team needs now. Its only chance for success is to be a defense -oriented team. The offense is too far gone and too devoid of talent to try any kind of innovative offensive system. Gotta be a defensive-0minded coach who has the respect of the young black players.

He's too young and inexperienced for a team that lacks any kind of discipline like the 49ers.
That's how I felt when we hired him. Needs a few more years being the QB coach before he tackles another OC job. Showed nice promise just needs more experience.

You are thinking too short term. This is a young team that will be drafting a young QB. Love is not the best choice

I'll concede that point even though I think it is the wrong way to go.

We had our guy and now the Giants might take him right from under us. York just get the deal down. If he goes to NY we have no shot.

So many rumors out there. No meeting scheduled with NY Giants. McClorg swears from his sources 49ers are a done deal. Well see

Because he is close to 70 years old and hasn't coached in years. They want a younger coach that will hopefully last for awhile. Holmgren at his age isn't going to be that person.
Give him a 3 year contract. The Eagles are going to interview Tom Coughlin.

I saw that. Crazy.
I saw an article that stated York was going to be conducting the interview with Jackson. Anybody able to verify that, and whether or not Baalke was there at all? If Baalke is supposed to be hiring the coach, as Jed said he was going to be doing in his press conference, why was York involved at all?

I don't see that Jed has learned anything from when he ill advisedly terminated Harbaugh if that story is accurate.

Again, Don't be silly; Smith is a fine coach and has the attributes the 49ers need. This team needs to be built around defense and a ball-control offense so its "yes" to Dungy.
This team is a dumpster fire. It doesn't need to be built around anything specific, considering it needs to be built completely, at the moment.

I don't agree with your choice of coach, but I definitely don't want Jackson after that trainwreck last night. He could have called that last possession in a fashion that would have kept Burfict and Jones off the field in any meaningful capacity, but didn't.

I'd much rather go with Koetter, who presided over a much better offense with far fewer weapons and a first year quarterback. Jackson seems like Nolan to me, albeit on Offense. His offense this year was worse than Roman's in Buffalo. Again, with far more weapons. Considering our dearth of playmakers on offense, I don't see him succeeding here.

Pacman should be cut. Immediately. This is one of those situtations where if I'm the coach, and we're on the road, I tell him to figure out how to get home, because he's not flying back with the team.

When he arrived back at the locker room, he'd find his locker was set on fire. What an absolute jackass. A 51 yarder is difficult. A 36 yarder is a game clincher. All because he had to run his mouth. As usual.

Game Clincher? I think Viking fans would have something to say about that. Meanwhile I'm convinced the winner of the power ball lottery will be a Seahawks fan.
