I'm a firm believer that the "inside information" guys like Rosenthal feed us is usually not inside information at all. I'd love to have Tulo, but I just don't see it happening.

Jeter is a legend though, and after doing some recent research, he is also tulo's idol. So the pieces make sense. Tulo may be better, but he just wants to be the next yankee short stop

Like, my friend made it sound like its GONNA happen. As if Colorado owes Tulo for his many years of service, and theyre gonna make it happen with NYY. So, I guess its just something to remember for this offseason. You guys can look back and say "wow I was one of the first people to know this was gonna happen" haha

This would take an absolute haul and I'm not sure the Yankees have the assets needed.

It's gonna come down to $$$. I don't think it'll cost as much as you think. We all know well that the yankees will take on that heap of cash. So it's not gonna take like 4 good prospects. I'm sure a major league level player along with two prospects and taking on a large amount of his salary is more then enough.

No disrespect, but I think COL will want more than that. A lot of teams would take on that contract.

I wish they would trade CarGo to us for Rios and a prospect.

cargo would probably be much harder to get at this point then tulo. His contract is much cheaper plus he's a younger player. Short stop is a premium in the big leagues, and I'm sure if they yankees want tulo as bad as he wants to go over there then they'll find a way.

Can you imagine if we could get Tulo to play 3rd here, with EA at SS, Pro at 2nd, w/ Beltre at DH? That would be a bad ass line-up and IF. And then I wake up....

It’s expected that teams that missed out on Masahiro Tanaka will bid for Hiroshima Toyo Carp standout Kenta Maeda. The Red Sox have scouted Maeda quite a bit and he’s garnering attention, even though he is not as accomplished as Tanaka.


I wonder if the Rangers have any interest. This could be a damn good idea to strengthen our rotation.

Does anyone know where that japanese pitcher went a few years ago? He was in high school and throwing 97-99 on average and touching 101. He had a huge body and was thinking about going to the mlb as an 18 year old. Forgot his name... but if we could manage to americanize a pitcher with those tools in japan at that age, can you imagine how good he could be?

This is why I said we seem to have a hard time making the tough decisions. There is no way that Scheppers should be rehabbing as a starter. None! Zero! We need bullpen help and he can provide it. He was horrible as a starter. I am not understanding what management is doing.
