Would you be disappointed with a starting rotation of Perez-Bassitt-Gray-Odorizzy-Dunning/Otto?
JMO that's probably the most realistic outcome.
I think I would too. I think we should be able to get one of the top 4 guys. To me, Bassitt isn't good enough to give up a draft choice for. Also, he is going to be 34 before the season starts.

If we got Senga and a guy to close and hopefully one more reliever. That would be great IMO

Or another SP less the secondary reliever. A lot of good progress this year pitching wise could easily happen

I like that plan. I think I want 2 relievers either way though.

Maybe we can generate something via trade. Roster for roster ala Seattle trade

Trusting CY, but the RP market continues to be active without our involvement.

I guess we can hope that he is aiming higher than some of the guys who have signed lately. I guess, there is always the chance they aren't looking to sign a reliever, but I sure hope that isn't the case.

Not entirely disappointed..in fact I’d be ok with it.

With that rotation there’s depth, so hopefully they won’t have guys like Spencer Howard, Arihara, Keichel, Miller, Hearn & Richards making 31 starts like the group I just mentioned did.

I think we just need 1 maybe 2 relievers. Should be able to field a strong bullpen going into next year.

it's possible they are wanting to sort out the SP targets first. Not saying I agree with that strategy, but I understand the logic of it.

You are doing better than me then, because I can't see the logic of that kind of strategy.

Financially. What they spend on SP could affect what they have to spend on RP.
I could see that possibly hindering them from signing a second reliever, but hopefully not the first one. Then again, you expect them to sign two expensive starting pitchers and I don't so maybe that is what is driving our difference in viewing how they can sign relievers.

I would think an improved bullpen would be a big selling point when trying to convince starting pitchers to sign here.

Oh I don't think money should hinder them in any way. But it's also not my money, and if they've got a self-imposed limit to how much they want to spend, then I can see why they are choosing to wrap up a SP target (even just one of them) first before making any other moves.

EDIT: not saying that is what's happening, but it's an approach that does have logic I can understand, even if I don't agree with it.
