He plays elsewhere next year, likely the Knicks or groups together with some other FAs in Brooklyn.

0.0% chance he signs with the Knicks...Not going to happen. If he does this, I'll lose even more respect for KD than I already have. He's not going to go to some franchise that has a vast history of ineptness.

Nets maybe...Sean Marks has done a hell of a job with the little assets he's inherited.

Wait so he's a pussy for going to a stacked team with no pressure to carry them, and he loses respect if he goes to a bad team (that's what bad teams are, inept) to try to bring them back as the alpha? The guy can't win.

Lemme guess, only if he goes back to OKC will you allow it? Also, no one cares.

Well obviously you do if you took the time to write a paragraph about it.

Literally the only reason he would consider the Knicks would be for marketing purposes. This franchise has next nothing going for it right now - Including limited cap flexibility, Porzingis torn ACL, atrocious backcourt play, and no rim protection.

If the Pacers were to somehow luck out and win 50 games next year with only roughly $30 million on the books for 2019-20, the only reason he would choose the Knicks over us would be to build up his brand, and in turn, his ego. It would set an awful precedent.

Don't do that. Don't do that thing where someone dogs you for posting shit they don't care about, and says so, and you think it means they do. No one cares about your opinion of KD, and me saying so doesn't mean they do.

And it looks like I was wrong, it's not OKC that you would allow, it's Indiana. Because of course LOL

Oh wait.

So you are saying the market matters?

Interesting.

Or perhaps he would simply prefer living in NY over Indianapolis?

What you fail to grasp is that these players are human people. They are young, famous, and incredibly wealthy. Lifestyle is pretty important to most NBA players and it extends beyond their personal brands.

What do the Nets have that surpasses Zinger, or even Knox? The Nets have chances to draft someone like that, but haven't really proven able to do so just yet.

I would love to see him with Kyrie and Butler in Chicago. I can dream can't I. My Bulls have been shit since Mike left outside of a couple fun seasons with Rose and Butler together.

So the only way KD can earn any respect back is if he goes to the Pacers.

I'm sure everyone on here is shocked to see you post that. :pound:

You expect to draw a major free agent to Indiana with this under contract next year? Over the Knicks, lol?

Oladipo, McDermott, Sabonis, Leaf, Holiday, Anigbogu, Elijah Steward, Alize Johnson

So let me get this straight...

He left OKC to go to the best team in the league which, according to you and a few others, makes him a cupcake who took the easy way out and caused you and others to lose respect for him,

Then you say, if he decides to go to one of the worst organizations in the league, a team that won all of 29 games. He will lose respect because it would just be to "build his brand and his ego". Even though winning anything there will be much tougher than it has been with the Warriors or was with the Thunder.

But, if he splits the difference and goes to the Pacers, a good young team that gave Lebron all he wanted in the playoffs, he will gain respect?

I'm sure that the Pacers being your favorite team is a mere coincidence, right?

No way. I am pretty sure everybody in America wants to see KD in a Pacer uniform.

Why would he leave Golden State? They'll pay him, he's still "the main guy", and he can keep chasing rings there for a few more years more easily than he probably could anywhere else. Unless the team implodes this season, I can't see him leaving.

All of that being said, since I've given up caring about much about the NBA in its current state, I kind of hope Durant goes to team up with LeBron in L.A. It would be the ultimate troll move of NBA history, and the reactions to it would be comedy gold.

No thanks from this Laker fan. If he leaves, I would expect it to be for him to build his own team around him at some team with cap space and prospects/draft picks.

Let me put it this way: I'd rather see him sign a lifetime contract with the Warriors over signing with a garbage organization like the Knicks strictly for marketing purposes. At least that way he'd be showing some semblance of loyalty.

Moot point regardless, because he's not going to be a Knick. I'd put anything on it.

Never sign the Pacers are signing anyone of significance. In fact, I've been rather adamant that no one will want to come here if we have another ho-hum 45-win season.

But, what do the Knicks have???

Garbage organization? 8 finals appearances, 5th most all time.

Another max star in Porzingis. A very promising rookie in Knox. NYC.
