That’s funny. I’ve been considering our game with Tampa Bay as an easy win this year.

Pretty much nothing dumber then doing game by game predictions for the upcoming season in Aug. None of this accts for things like injuries, progression of rookies & other factors that cannot be determined prior to the season.

This exercise is even more useless when these predictions are based on trends over time & how teams played in previous seasons. What the hell do those have to do w/ the current team? You would think that people would learn since surprise playoff teams appear every season especially in the NFC.

They closed it because they decided to get political and can't handle the blowback. Bunch of weak liberal pussies at ESPN.
"yeah, and those guys at FS1, total dicks"

I don't think we will see that happen anytime soon. They are too intertwined with sports broadcasting.
viewership is way down. theyve cute staff. they used to be your source for sports highlights. now they are an afterthought.

theyre running out of hooks.

With the NFL & MLB networks, there is no reason to put ESPN on unless there is a game on that can't be viewed on another channel.....

If it generates a click, IDK if it's dumb based on what they're trying to accomplish.

If they're really trying to establish a 16 game record...yeah it's dumb to do it now.

Predictions in August are pointless.

However the reason the OP is incensed is because of the predicted sweep of the Saints. I don't know about everyone else, but that really wouldn't shock me.

This was based on nothing like that. she picked the bucs to sweep the saints, who were coming off a record the bucs have not had since 2005. Bleacher Report used to do this before ESPN took over and they were better at it.

Not to sound sexist, but you have to look at the source here.

I did see that, but that still is the same network who hires these buffoons as their beat writers.

So Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to beat us week 1 in our dome? If that happens, then our season goes south.

That's usually when these experts make their predictions, and then make them over before the season.

I'm just now going through all these game by game predictions for each team because I don't do it then.
