biggest bowl tie-in this conference had. At this point the Mountain West is screwed for football...It actually may be time to seriously consider going Independent, pretty much the least worst of bad options at this point, if we stay we essentially sink with the ship.

Yeah. It sucks but it was to be expected with that shiny new stadium going in. The SEC versus the Pac 12 now. SEC fans will be coming out to Vegas in droves. Now they're talking about Sun Devil Stadium hosting a bowl with a MWC tie in to replace the alliance we had with the Vegas Bowl. Total bummer.

That really doesn't improve things for us. Chances are we will still get games against the power 5 but they will be mediocre 6-6 teams and we will be replacing a bid that another conference couldn't fill. Nothing is looking good for us

Hate to say it but the move to the new Raiders stadium has created this notion a MWC team couldn't help fill it. Vegas Bowl organizers are obviously looking to make the game bigger than it already is.

Never the less, I think Sam Boyd will pick up or create another Bowl game that has MWC tie-ins.
