FSU won a double header today over Mt Saint Mary's winning
the first game 10-0 on a 2-hit, complete game shut-out by
Andrew Karp and the night cap 8-2 behind CJ Van Eyk's 5 hitter.

The Noles improved to 36-16 and will finish the 4-game series
vs Mt St Mary's tomorrow at Noon.

Meanwhile in softball, Anna Shelnutt, hit a 2-out 3-run walk-off
homerun to beat Pitt 5-4 and give the Lady Noles their 5th
Straight ACC tourney title.

And in track and field the Noles won their 12th outdoor ACC title
at the conf meet in Miami with 116 points. Syracuse was 2nd
with 108 and VPI was 3rd with 105.5.

Pretty good day.

Shout out to my NCA&T Aggies who will play for the MEAC title for the first time in 8 years and looks to capture the MEAC Baseball title for the first time since 2005. Playing Bethune-Cookman, who has won the last 2 titles, 3 of the last 5 titles and 16 of the last 19 titles. Gonna be tough but it's doable. Lets go Aggies!!

I'll be interested to see what happens with Iowa if they don't win the B10 tourney. RPI is borderline at best but they've got a solid resume .

I like FSU's tourney schedule. Especially if we can win the opener.

We play Today...15 minutes from now... and then we don't play
again until Friday. If we can take out UVA we'll be in good
shape for NC State on Friday. Theydon't play their opener until
Thursday. We'll have all of our pen ready for them.

It's a good draw for us. Now we just have to win.

I hear ya, but having UVa and NCSt in your pod is no cake walk.

Iowa opens B10 tourney with Michigan which could basically be an elimination game, not thst the winner is locked but if think the loser is out . Could be the exact sane scenario in Game 2 even if we win game win . My thoughts are if we get to the B10 title game with no bad losses we should have a shot to get in with series wind over OKST, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Ducking losing 2 out of 3 to NW was a killer though . Dropped our RPI from 41 to 63

I hear ya...but we did get the win today. Another extra inning walk-off win. UVA was horrible on the bases. It was like they forgot
on to play. They took themselves out of 3 possible big innings.

The good thing was #11 gambled by starting Eyk on the mound.
He's been valuable to use this season, but he still hasn't cracked
our top 3 rotation. We have our Top man set to go against NCSt.

Then #2 for the semi's and #3 for the title, if we get that far.
And it won't hurt us for the regionals because all of them will get
7 days rest before they will pitch again.

btw...With the win we move to 40-17. That's the 41st year we've
won at least 40 games in a season. Louisville is second on that
list with 7 straight years.

We are kicking the ever-loving dogshit out of Notre Dame. I've never seen anything like it. We are going through the line up for the THIRD time this inning (4th). We have scored 17 runs, with 4 homeruns and one of those was a grand slam by Logan Davidson who hit 2 of those HR's. The last homer hit the fucking bull. The guy gets a free fucking steak!!
