Maybe. I think he'll do well given the chance. However, as Everton fans know too well, he'll probably come in, and if he's not in the top 4 after 2-3 weeks, he'll be fired and they'll bring in Pardew or one of the other losers that keep getting jobs.

Well, there is/was a frustration with Koeman and Allardyce over team selection and a tendency to ignore our young up and comers. That and just playing a boring brand of football.

Why Sam simply had to leave Everton

I think this explains pretty well why Allardyce was not liked. For my part, it was just a matter of watching Everton play as being akin to watching paint dry... Heavily defensive tactics against teams that are, by all measures, less than Everton. And certain players getting start after start after start while being badly out of form. Morgan Schneiderlein being the top name on that list. It was rumored that he MUST have compromising photos of someone, because his name constantly appearing in the starting 11 was baffling to everyone.

This backs my point...

Everton's new manager must prioritise high-tempo playing style, says Alan Stubbs

skyports said:
"Everton fans want high-tempo, aggressive football. They want the manager to have a connection with them, and for Goodison Park to be an intimidating place for other teams to come.

"Most importantly, I think the fans want to turn up at Goodison with an excitement about what they're watching, and I don't think that's been there for two or three years now.

I became an Everton fan in the first place because they were fun to watch... Simply hasn't been the case in recent years...

The Bagman has always been that way. I've watched him in the EPL for about 20 years, starting when he was at Bolton. He has NEVER played any sort of attractive football, always playing "not to lose" instead of playing to win.

Yeah, didn't expect him to change his spots or anything. MAN he is an arrogant f*ck too! Claiming that most Everton supporters didn't want him to leave. Oh I assure you Sam. They did.

Anyway, to your point about the fickleness of Everton fans and such, I think maybe we moved to quick on Koeman in retrospect, but I was with the screaming crowd calling for his head as well... Sometimes you need to share "Where you're going with this" and Koeman seemed to have some secret "vision" that no one else saw. And he was not getting results. It isn't just losing, its who you are losing to and the fashion in which you're losing that has been really tough to swallow for the last couple of years.

It's kind of funny that you went from good attack, no defense with Roberto Martinez to the complete opposite under Allardyce with largely the same group of players. Makes me think that if you find a coach with the right balance there's plenty of potential at Everton.

Eh, not really the same squad. Lost Lukaku and Barkley, signed Sigurdsson, Rooney, Sandro, Klaassen, Vlasic, Tosun, .... and others. Many of those signings were never used much. Some were used improperly .

Basically rudderless. Threw a fistful of darts trying to replace Lukaku because, for some reason, we didnt have a plan to replace him, even though we knew he was gone.

Probably. I believe he's already involved in the group that built your training facilities etc. I'm sure he's tired of dealing with Kronke at Arsenal. He tried to buy out Kronke, but Stan wouldn't.

Convinced the wife that we should watch the final. Only took like 20 mins searching Cristiano Ronaldo on Bing images to convince her. Didn't have the heart to tell her that we're not rooting for that faggot.
