that may be the case...and how many playoff games have Stafford won in 9 years?

Just sayin...
There's plenty to love about him..there's plenty of question marks..just like all the other QB's this year...kinda why I wouldn't touch a single one of them until after Barkley, Chubb, Ward, Nelson and Fitzpatrick are all gone

CJ Anderson released...welcome to the Phins, hope you enjoy Drake's table scraps
Didn't the Phins sign Gore? I'm guessing they were interested in CJA before they settled on Frank. Carolina could be a nice fit after dropping J-Stew. Either way, CJA is going to have to fight to get a #2 role somewhere.

Well, its just connecting the dots from a few years ago..they signed him to the offer sheet Denver matched, Denver's old OC is in Miami, they nearly traded for him just a few weeks ago but decided they didn't want his contract plus knew Denver was going to eventually release him, ..makes sense.

I think he could easily be pretty much anyone's #2, but barring a rash of injuries or just pure desperation, there's no way any team goes into the season with CJ under the assumption that he's anything more than the lesser member of a committee. Personally I'd rather give a one year deal to AP or Charles, and keep mining for nuggets in days two and three of the draft

Without taking a single snap (practically) from under center outside if the victory formation? Add in his questionable mental/behavorial issues...he, and NFL teams, have more to worry about than his height. He's far from undisputed even if he was 6'5"

Taking snaps under center in college is practically worthless IMO.

Then why did he consistently lose his job, and eventually get run out of town?

I'm not sure why this keeps being debated year after year after year, when everything on the field and his entire history proves, every single step of the way, that he's a replaceable level talent. He doesn't suck..but he ain't all that good either

Sure I dont think hes great or even good really. Hes a pretty meh RB. But I think youre a little hard on him. Id be happy if the skins brought him in. Hed probably be our starter all year if we dont draft anybody.

I hope, for the good of the entire fantasy community, that they draft someone..or sign Charles/AP...or both. He likely would start over Perine, for at least a little while

If Ronnie Hillman hadn't been able to outright unseat him, and later simply outperform in in limited work, and then again later with Booker,...I wouldn't be so hard on him. But, that is what happened.

I am hopeful he gets a chance. Honestly him leaving Denver could be a blessing.

Charles and AP do nothing for me honestly, but I agree. We need somebody else in the backfield badly. Id be happy with Anderson signing and a day 2 or 3 pick at the position.

Did those 2 really outperform him though?

Ronnie definitely did. Booker was, albeit in limited spot duty, then CJ got hurt, and simultaneously Booker went to shit and also got hurt, so, judgement call I guess. But the writing was on the wall that Booker was going to take over soon before everything went to pot for them both

Yet they let Hillman go and kept CJ around. I do think they wanted Booker to take over but I dont know that he was good enough to do it all though I guess he'll have his chance now. End of the day I agree CJ is nothing special but hes been relatively productive when given chances. You could do worse I guess is what Im saying (cough Rob Kelley cough Perine).

RE: CJ
My view is that some coaches (the ones with no guts or imagination) will believe/follow the scouting report on a player and will never deviate from it regardless of what the player does.
The coach may say the politically correct thing about open competition or handing assignments to the best players. But coaches have their favorites.
CJ seems to be the reluctant starter regardless of what he does.

JStew is a good example of the anti-CJ.
Since he came into the league, the book on JStew was that he should be a starting RB.
And he was given every chance. Too many chances IMO.
Never lived up to the billing.
