Dalton is a great college QB in my eyes...no more. no less. All of Bengaldom seemed ready to straight up blow the dude based on his 'intangibles'. He just does not have an NFL skill set. doesnt have it. Doesnt matter how nice of a guy he is.

Livings in particular was shitty. He gave up a sack, and got called for holding on what would have been a pretty nice gain by Leonard.

Leonard is another guy that I could do without. he's had some nice moments, but you can only jump over people maybe twice if you're a caucasian. Much rather see B.Scott or one of the rooks (Finley) get some looks. I wonder if Gruden will keep the shovel pass in the repetior

I think Mallett was the only QB worth drafting. I'd of signed a guy (grad is fine) then waited till next year to draft a QB. Mallett tore it up last night for the pats. That should be our QB. That guy I could get excited about. Dalton is like Ty Detmer or any other 'winning' college QB that just doesnt ahve legit NFL tools.

I like the way that Leonard plays, just kinda seems like a guy that his best moments are behind him. He is a good player though. Now that I think about it, we actually need more guys like that (ie play hard, smart but unspectacular players). He knows his role. Never going to be an All pro but has his place.

Now, I never said he was going to have a huge year. I said he's the best player, talentwise.

green is a stud though...He is that the mercy of his QB and system though. Put him on the chargers and falcons and that guy would be a perenial pro bowler. In Cinci he'll just be a disgruntled, talented reciever

people say pre-season doesnt matter and it doesnt for good teams...but this has to be disheartening for the new guys. the guys that were buying in and thinking that this would not be business as usual for the Bengals. They have to be realizing that everything they heard about this organization is true. They're getting their asses handed to them by the Lions. this is how guys like Green etc become 'bengalized'

Nope.

If the Bengals play well this season, even say 8-8, Palmer could come back and Brown might entertain trading him because Dalton played well enough that he could get over his infatuation of Palmer. He has his new QB-boeee.

If Palmer tried to come back in the hopes of getting traded after an 0-16 season, Brown would never go for it demanding that Palmer either play for the Bengals or not at all.

Unless of course Palmer doesn't want to play football ever again, then I'm sure he'd love to see the Bengals go 0-16.
